I just revisited this story today. The story itself is thoughtful and has clever uses of sci-fi tech to sell the ‘birthing’ of a new consciousness. The crack in the armor is my performance and producing. The two main characters needed more distinction but I felt unconfident in my ability to maintain a good accent for Kusim. What might’ve helped was a restructuring of the text itself so it was more readable for audio. Maybe I’m being too critical. I’ll let y’all decide.
