Sob o pretexto de “inclusão total”, entidades como APAEs e Pestalozzis vêm sendo alvo de ataques que colocam em risco o atendimento a quem mais precisa: pessoas com deficiências severas que não conseguem ser atendidas adequadamente na rede regular.
O DECRETO DA EXCLUSÃO - O decreto 12.686 do governo Lula eliminou o termo “preferencialmente” da LDB, tornando obrigatória a matrícula de TODOS os alunos com deficiência em escolas comuns. Na prática, isso retira das famílias o direito de escolher o melhor para seus filhos.

No Senado: PEC 52/2023 ameaça constitucionalizar apenas a “inclusão total”

Collectivism isn’t just a left-wing problem.
It’s any ideology that treats groups as more real than individuals, that judges you by tribe, class, or ancestry instead of choice and achievement.
On the left, it shows up as class warfare and identity politics.
On the right, as nationalism and tribalism.
All of them deny that individuals think and act for themselves. They claim your character is set by your group, erasing the line between earned achievement and inherited status. Ayn Rand called racism “the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism” for that reason.
Collectivism denies your mind, your reason, your freedom to choose. It rejects what makes us human.
America was founded on the opposite idea: that rights belong to individuals, not to tribes, races, or classes.
That is what made it unique. Not democracy, the Greeks had that. Not republicanism, the Romans had that. But a nation built on individual rights, not tribal belonging.
And that doesn’t erase culture. It creates it.
When millions freely choose to read Shakespeare, build with Edison’s inventions, or adopt constitutional principles, that is culture: living, evolving, chosen.
Free societies thrive because they let individuals create and others freely adopt what works. Tribal societies stagnate because they force people to repeat what ancestors did.
Capitalism made this principle real. In a free market, nobody cares about your ancestry, only about the value you create. The freest economies are the least tribal. The most controlled are the most collectivist.
Soviet Russia had class-based oppression. Nazi Germany had race-based oppression. Both rejected individualism. Both were collectivist.
So when someone defends the West while judging by ethnicity or religion, they have already abandoned its core. You cannot defend free markets while embracing racism. You cannot oppose socialism while supporting tribalism.
The question is simple.
Do individuals have rights or do groups?
Are you judged by your choices or by your DNA?
History’s verdict is clear. Tribal societies breed war and stagnation. Individualist ones produce peace and progress.
To defend Western civilization is to defend individual rights against the woke left, the socialists, the nationalists, and anyone who judges by group rather than character.
The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Abandon that, and you abandon freedom itself.
The real battle is not left versus right. It is individualism versus collectivism. And only one of them built civilization.

What are some great examples of actors playing against type?
Sylvester Stallone in Cop land.
Now most people associate Sylvester Stallone with muscled heroic fight movies with next-to-no proper acting around.
But that is plainly wrong.
You see, Sylvester Stallone was engaged in a number of “real” movies, in which he showed he can act — but even more: in which he showed he can also write.
Does anyone realize that he was nominated for the Academy Award for best actor and best screenplay for Rocky, in 1976 ?
And that he was also nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actor for Creed, in 2015 ?
“BUT” — I hear you say — “isn’t the Rocky-franchise a bunch of dumb boxing movies in which the main character works on his muscles, and wins for Adrian in the end, while fighting giant cold war Russians and the like ?”
Yes, but only starting with Rocky III.
The first two Rocky movies are really good movies about a poor guy who works in a slaughterhouse while struggling with life, and who is a medium-talented boxer without much steroid muscles.
(The soundtrack, which was written by Bill Conti, is also great.)
“BUT” — I hear you say — “isn’t Stallone the one of the terrible Rambo-movies, in which the main characters are muscles, guns and blood ?”
Yes, but only starting with Rambo II.
The first Rambo (First Blood, 1982) is a truly fantastic thriller about a Vietnam veteran who looks for his old ‘Nam friends (who all appear to be dead in the end), and gets confronted with the local law (Brian Dennehy) because he looks like a bum.
It all goes wrong from there.
That movie is a brilliant masterpiece of suspense, directed by Ted Kotcheff, co-written by Stallone, and foreseen by a stunning soundtrack written by Jerry Goldsmith.
By the time Cop land came (in 1997), Stallone was completely identified with Rambo and Rocky by the world, so it came as a big surprise that he gave a solid acting performance as the local town sherif Freddy Heflin.
Freddy is an unhappy frustrated overweight loser, who once dreamed of becoming an officer but couldn’t because he is deaf in one ear.
It is a very different Stallone most of us are used to see !
Oh, and did I mention that Stallone directed and co-wrote Staying alive (1983), a dance movie starring JohnTravolta and Cynthia Rhodes, and sequel to the famous cultfilm Saturday Night fever ?

In short, there is one famous credo in the realm of modern-day Hollywood …
Never underestimate Sly Stallone.
