@Alex Gleason and I are currently working on related OpenCode projects. He suggested merging them, which makes sense, but proposed merging his into mine. I pushed back and joked that he’s the magician and I’m just the assistant, so it would make more sense to merge mine into his. What he said next really stuck with me. He said I had it wrong, that he’s a wizard, and I’m a magician. It’s a simple distinction, but a meaningful one, and it feels like a great way to explain vibe coding. He has deep, traditional software development skills. I have strong skills in using modern tools. We can both create real things, just in different ways. He’s using his innate abilities, his “powers.” I’m using a powerful set of tools to get the job done. These abilities and skills will treat the @Soapbox team well this weekend at the Bitcoin Park and HRF AI Hackathon this weekend.
