Sad experience today. A friend of mine asked if I could help him exchange some Bitcoin for Norwegian kroner—Bitcoin that his daughter had received as a gift a few years ago. She was having car trouble and needed the money for repairs. The gift had been given in the form of a paper wallet. When I opened the wallet and scanned the QR code with the BlueWallet app, I discovered that the funds had already been emptied several months ago. There’s no doubt that no one else had accessed it, as it was still sealed. I really feel sorry for his daughter, who lost her Bitcoin without even knowing it.
