I like smart compilers, and I cannot lie.
My objective with Nim is to use it as a replacement for C++, so that the compiler can do more of the heavy lifting; Algebraic Data Types, anyone?
For work I create DLLs (plugins) which must be able to utilize a C++ ABI.
Many programming languages can interact with a C ABI using a FFI, but that's not the case with a C++ ABI.
But perhaps Nim can be my cheat code, given it can produce C++ code :)

I'm a 20+ year X11 junkie, so this is all new territory.
I wasn't planning on doing this so soon, but the dual-monitor situation with Xorg and AMD/NVIDIA hybrid graphics is... clunky. It works, but only as long as I don't try to modify the monitors after they have been set. I get one shot to use xrandr when I log in. If I run it a second time... POOF... there goes Xorg.
I was curious about how it would work on Hyprland, and... it just worked! Both monitors came right up, and I could rotate one of them without anything crashing.
Bisq 2 is coming to Nixpkgs!
Well... I need to satisfy the Nixpkgs code check gods first. They speak some incomprehensible language, so it may take a while.
Nevertheless, the PR is

So, it looks like today's meme is regarding fiatjaf. He, he!
I love how Nostr is still weird.
I'm so bullshit! LOLz.
Congrats to SpaceX for their 4th Starship test flight!
That melting flap, though. LOLz.
Both vehicles did a fantastic job.
PSA: tnx fees are low, if you can afford to wait. I saw about 10 sats/vbyte for a 1 day target.
I know that's not "low", but it's decent for recent times.
Just saying.
I want to go ahead and submit my Bisq2 Nix package to Nixpkgs.
However, I'd like for there to be at least another maintainer to join me. You know, in case I'm involved in a boating accident ;)
Therefore, if you would like to join me as a maintainer of the package, let me know.
The Nix code in question is https://github.com/emmanuelrosa/erosanix/blob/master/pkgs/bisq2/default.nix
I updated the Bisq2 Nix package to version 2.0.4

Back in February I had the strangest, yet perhaps the most impactful Astral Projection experience.
This certainly wasn't my favorite experience. Not even close! But it's one that has left a mark because of what it means personally, (which took a few days to figure out) and because it contained one specific word.
It started with me laying on my bed while being in that weird, incomprehensible dream state wherein nothing makes sense. But an unusual thought came to mind: "I'll show you the way."
What the heck. I don't think of phrases like that. But the moment I did I felt my bed lift up into the air. It was wobbly as you'd expect, and the damn thing launched into full flight, like I was on a roller-coaster. Yes, with me still laying on my bed.
That's when I realized an Astral Projection had begun. So I calmly waited to see what would happen. It's very easy to freak out and break the experience.
Everything went white, but I could still feel the awesome flying sensation. Then I thought: "Where are we going?"
That thought kicked off a voice which sounded like Morgan Freeman making an announcement over a megaphone. The voice said this:
"So you think, Emmanuel, that you're going to be really good at one thing or another... well those things don't matter. Follow the way of love."
Then BOOM, the whole thing was over in an instant.
I've never before heard my name during an Astral Projection. So that shocked me. And I did find the message rather insulting, but like it said, it made sense a few days later.
A few months have passed, and I'm still a bit shocked by all of this.

Hopefully y'all took advantage of the 10 sat/vbyte mempool fees last night!
That opportunity is now gone, once again.
"Oh, I already have a mobile Lightning wallet." you say?
OK, but where's your Lightning desktop wallet? Are you really going to pay all your monthly bills from your phone? Of course, if you have a Windows PC then hell no, don't get a Lightning desktop wallet!
It was also a good opportunity for L-BTC swaps.
Or UTXO consolidation.
But the thing is, you gotta know what you need to do before hand and be ready, so that when the fees are favorable you can just jump in and do it.
I don't even know why I'm typing this LOLz! Perhaps I'm in an unusually chatty mood. Imagine the craziness that would come out of my keyboard if I was an alchoholic :)
OK, I'm done for today.
