Udi is correct here. There are a number of issues being conflated in these Node Wars. And what you have is an agent provocateur inflaming both sides of the debate to undermine the protocol. It is a nation-state social attack, mostly, with a dedicated development cell. Some devs are simply ideologically captured and naive, I would argue. Others are contracted to the subversive cause. His faction is attempting to make Bitcoin an “open-borders protocol”. One can understand the strategy by observing what lack of border enforcement and unfettered immigration are doing to Western Europe. Consider the Kalergi Plan as a strategy to subvert bitcoins hard-money identity. I do think this is a crucial fight.
