I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

I thought I was spending a lot of money on AI to help me build DNN when I could've used free AI models. I used a bunch of those free ones. Nope, I did not waste my money. Paid AI is so much better than free AI. Paid AI was a headache to reach where I reached, free AI was 10x more of a headache x3 So ended with "Nope, I definitely didn't waste money on this" x3

In the world we're living in, always assume that, even if you're in an empty room alone, in an abandoned building, in the desert, the moment you bring something out from your brain to outside of it via written word, text, speech/voice, anything, always assume there's a non-0% chance that someone heard it.

The more you spend working on Nostr, the more you realize it changes everything. For example: I'm thinking "ok, so I want to add an email thing, but nostr based. I create a separate page for it with its separate... wait a minute... I'll just put it in the DMs section under a different tab."

Got my new monitor, called MSI MAG 275QR X32 I wanted to get the one without the X32, but that's what I ended up with since all the other cheap good ones got sold out. This experience has taught me, so sharing what I learned, assuming someone is planning to get a new monitor. Min spec for a good modern monitor, around budget pricing (budget pricing being $150 to $300. Got what I ended up with for $285, even though I could've gotten my initial want at $185): - 2k - 144hz and up (mine: 320, not by choice =P) - ms: 1 or below (mine is supposedly 0.5ms) - Brightness: 300 nits minimum, but aim to make it 400 nits or more (mine is 400) - HDR: VESA Certified or better (don't get one that says it's 'HDR Ready') - Ports: Display Port (if your pc or laptop doesn't have a DP, then get a converter) - Display type: IPS (Not VA) Note: Look at reviews when you're deciding, especially to see if there are a lot of reports of dead pixels

Be it god or the devil, it doesn't matter who, if a proposal is presented that fixes issues within Bitcoin, or decreases the issue at least, then it should be accepted. This is the difference between tribal thinking and topic thinking.

Seems like the current silly drama on nostr isn't done yet x3 Here's a gist of the true state of things regarding Bitcoin Lightning and eCash: 1. Lighting is either centralized or decentralized 1.1. Decentralized if I open a channel with another 1.2. Centralized if I'm under a channel point 2. eCash/CashU is either centralized or decentralized 2.1. Decentralized if you make your own eCash tokens on the channel you opened with another, that's sent to the other point in the channel, where it'd be redeemed and transferred to confirm 2.2. Centralized if you make your eCash tokens on another's channel point People developing and advancing Lighting or eCash are not developing centralized or decentralized solutions; they're developing tools that can be used for both. I can give my Bitcoin to someone, and they can keep a log of me "giving" some of it to someone else that they'd "receive", resulting in a scenario where Bitcoin became centralized (calm down, this is just an example to deliver a point =P) The resulting centralization or decentralization is based on user action. Where do we go from here? - Bitcoin is fine. - Creating LN channels sucks ass, so many just lean towards using centralized providers with low-volume money (of their own money), so hopefully people can figure out a way to make it less ass. - Considering the masses of LN users are using it in a centralized way, users of eCash would, of course, follow along that path; however, because of the nature of eCash, in many cases, it weakens the centralization of LN by spreading the funds across multiple different central LN nodes, at least initially, assuming the user doesn't group them into one single LN central node. - So eCash isn't 'the' issue in the grand scheme of things, but rather the ass-ness of creating LN channels. So until that's figured out (how to make it less ass or a different solution entirely), that's the state of LN and eCash; both being either in a state of decentralization or centralization for each user. On a different note: Regarding Primal, I don't use it much, but it isn't a centralized nostr thing. It's like any other nostr client, they just use a caching server that the user can (I think, can't recall) turn off or swap, like how it's done with DEG Mods, simply to enhance the user experience, and you can put your custom LN address, as well as hook up your NWC on it. Side note: I'm not sure if I talked about any of this before, so I might have repeated myself. Hopefully I don't forget and end up repeating myself again in the future when this silly drama happens again x3

Arc Raiders (and similar): 1. It should remain PvPVE 2. There shouldn't be a separate PVE mode 3. If there were, it would remove the magic of the game for players 4. If there were, it would divide the player base 5. If there were, it would change the dynamic of having both friendly vs hostile players, where the friendly players would just play PVE, and all the hostile players would be in the PVPVE mode Counterpoints: 1. PVPVE would remain 2. There should be a PVE-only mode 3. It wouldn't matter, because PVE players (or those who hate PVP or PVPVE) are not even playing PVPVE and don't care if they aren't getting the 'magic' 4. It wouldn't divide it because they're not in it to begin with 5. Considering the previous point, it wouldn't move anything, as there are no players to move Then the discussion/argument would end on: - "Well, it isn't a game for you then." With a response: - "You're right, so I won't buy the game because it doesn't have a mode that wouldn't affect you or the mode you like, and I'll mention this to the devs in the hopes that they'd add it since there are no negatives, only positives."

Wasn't planning on initiating what I'm calling the 'DEG Mods Network' yet, since there's still a bunch of things to do to accommodate that initiative; however, an opportunity came, where an individual who hated Nexus Mods and attempted to make their own mod site, and long story short: with their own domain, there's another 'DEG Mods' controlled by someone else independently. The process took 15 minutes, and it was up and running. I'll hit them up again to better onboard them and help them update it to the version of the site where it would better accommodate people within the DEG Mods Network (or DEGMN) and make things work more seamlessly, as well as to accommodate a 'creator-only' version/toggle where it'd show posts from a single mod creator. (Yes, this is *one* of the methods by which DEG Mods will dominate the modding scene; Every hub and every creator is 'DEG Mods') I wonder how many more will come to ask to be part of this network (not that they need to ask, of course), before it gets officially announced 🤔

Uff... I like this / this hits hard x3: “Names need anchors. DNN just moved the anchor from politics to physics.”

I really need to clean (close) my browser tabs. Got like 100 to 500 across multiple browsers. I do this process every year or so, I think x3

What's interesting about DNN, considering the current situation with Core, is that I'll be able to tackle the 'repo' problem along with the 'auto update' problem as well, since there'd be a DNN node, and I don't want it to have those kinds of problems as well. I'll also have it be applied to Bitcoin nodes as well (since it's an anchor, so might as well). The solution/idea is there, I just need to spend time designing its flow/rules.

Is there a nostr sign-up system, one that guarantees the collection of submited npubs and not have them lost in relays? Like adding your email to a newsletter on some websites. I'm assuming there isn't, so I might have to figure out a way to do it (shouldn't be too hard, but it'd be a hassle for the end-user that sets up the form). #asknostr #nostr

I've been mulling over how to handle game builds and patches and verifications and so on for DEGA, from uploads to downloads, and how to handle file integrity checks, figured it out. An experienced person would've figured it out / known how to handle it instantly, but ya this hurdle for me has passed =3 Game publishing on DEGA will be a shitton easier than Steam's process, all decentralized & permissionless. Now that this blocker is out of the way, back to designing. Will share an update soon on the progress. When's 'soon'? dunno x3
