Oh? Amethyst allows you to edit a post? They're now replaceable events? Nice.

@nout Oh, just in case DMs aren't working (because it happened before), I replied back (on Amethyst) a few minutes after I saw yours. If you didn't receive it, I'll send it again on a different client.

Not sure why clients don't add this since a bunch of people use it, and its already in nostr as its own client, but IMO it should be in all clients, which is a linktree popup. Will add it to DEG Mods at some point. Click this and a popup with a user's link will appear. image

Seems like Elon is still a bitch for the advertisers and the government, despite his claims / flipping them off. Thank code for #nostr

It's pretty awesome, because it's built on #nostr , that even if someone or entity takes down the @DEG Mods domain, repo, and/or literally end me today, anyone can get the code, run it on their PC locally, and still have access to published game mods and continue to publish new ones, as well as zap each other on it. Anyone can even continue developing it and add more features/systems to it, and put it up on a different domain too if they want. Nostr is Pandora's box unsealed, and projects built on top of it, which includes DEG Mods, are sub-pandora boxes, that can never be closed again.

Man... I think we've gotten used to Alby being there in the past , going through it now from the perspective of a new user that wants to create a nostr keypair using a nostr signing tool/manager (browser extension in this case), its, at least currently, a bad experience. Password? Sure. Register for an Alby account or use one of your Lighting hookups? wtf? As a new-user-pov, I'd go like "ok, let's create an alby account", then oh wait, no u can't, you have to get an invite code from x or y or z. WTF? all of this just to try and make a nostr account? I've been blinded and won't recommend, at least for now, Alby anymore to new users, unless the process becomes: install > password (skippable) > insert nsec or generate new pair > done / optional process of Alby LN service. I had it as the first button for the 'registration' process on my project but yanked it out now. Looking for alternatives and testing them, the best ones seem to be development-dead (Keys.Band, which as far as I'm concerned just needs an nsec extraction function/ui, and Flamingo, which is a bit slow). The good options after that are the OG nos2x and Nostr Connect (a pretty version of it basically with a bit more nice additions like hex and nprofile key extraction). I hope someone just forks keys.band and adds nsec extraction, and Flamingo's faster setup, plus Alby's opening of a browser tab to direct the user to setup (saves 2-4 clicks). Would also be nice to have finer permission control. That would be it.

Wondering why Blue Wallet doesn't have full support/implementation of silent payments, and only send support...

Maniacs: "You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet" Me: "You know what? Sure, though you and your pals will be the eggs, not the innocent, since you presented this idea." Maniacs: "..." Me: "Ah, not so enthusiastic to make that omelet now, are you?"

"cool, i finished designing this thing for a #nostr client" *Some new NIP comes out that kind of breaks the design "fuck... hm... ok.. there's no need to scrap this.. ya ok I can adapt and add this... extra design to it.. ya this idea works. Great! There's no conflict anymore. The old and the new can stay." Me today xD (can't say what it is atm)

People talk about how toxic twitter is and how nostr has good vibes. #twitter can be positive, and #nostr can be toxic. Why and how? We're dealing with people here =P This is not absolute and I haven't seen it that way, for both of these things, before I joined nostr and now. My experience on twitter is a positive one, on my personal account there since years ago (about 90% + part of the time). How? I just decide what to see on twitter, using the tools i have to personally moderate what I see. See I person I like their content? I follow them. They start being shit? I unfollow them. They're annoying me? I block them. People I follow start posting about stuff I don't like every now and then? I use the filter system and put keywords so that my timeline doesn't show me posts with these words. That's about it. As a result, my experience on twitter on my personal account for years has been positive vibes for most of the time. Toxic people can start coming into nostr and start being toxic. What will I do? The same thing as I've been doing on twitter. It's not an issue. The reason why I'm here on nostr isn't because of the positive vibes, it's because of ownership and censorship resistance. I can say "learn to code" and not get "banned" =P (as well as more moderation options as well of course + it being more than just a social thing). Don't think nostr can't be toxic. It can and will (it already probably has bad eggs in it).
