“Pay me on Nostr” This phrase is simultaneously aspirational and underwhelmingly dismissive of it’s full potential. From only the perspective of marketing and sales it unlocks a new frontier. The sales rep presenting the QR code, the customer paying with Nostr, using a public zap to function as a receipt for proof of purchase, automatically passing on contact information to the sales rep which is cataloged for future marketing. And none of this need be from a social media app. “Killer feature”? Not really. Rather the underlying backbone of having an integrated payment network combined with npubs that can be utilized across a universe of features and apps. Onward🫡 View quoted note →

Planted elderberries with the whole family recently. The 2 year old took the long handled pruning loppers and was mimicking the actions I was doing with the post hole digger. Very cute and a great reminder that as the father, I need to provide a good exemple for my children. They will mimic not only my physical actions, but also my virtues and vices. The parents are the first teachers of their children, both in the intentional and unintentional. #parenting

Checked on the trees over the weekend. White oak is starting to send out new growth. Explained to my son that his grandkids will be able to trade that tree for a few acres of land. Teaching low time preference and #generationalthinking View quoted note →

One of my goals for the year is to start from scratch and learn the best ways to grill steaks. Learning from people who don’t order steaks at restaurants because they would be disappointed with the quality, knowing they can make better. View quoted note →
