All-in on what is sound: family, friendship, nature, food, music, books and money! ⚡
A tale... The story begins in a time before the city became a city of prominence. In those days, the river was the main artery of the region, and a fierce giant ruled over its waters. The Giant was not a benevolent ruler, demanding an exorbitant toll from all who wished to cross the river. Those who refused or could not pay were met with a gruesome fate: The giant would cut off their hand and hurl it into the river. During a campaign, a brave and fearless Roman soldier was traveling through the region, and as he approached the river, he was met by the giant and his outrageous demands. Resolute and unyielding, the Roman soldier challenged the oppressive giant to a battle that would ultimately decide the fate of the river’s weary travelers. The conflict was fierce, but the Roman soldier’s courage and skill won the day. In a final act of poetic justice, the soldier severed the giant's hand and cast it into the river, freeing the waterway from his oppressive grasp. In doing so, he set the stage for the city to blossom into the most vibrant city. (I just wish today's citizens of the city would still remember the tale...) Gm, my people!
Gm, my people! ☕ I came to the realization that all of my IRL pain comes from valuing so much a thing called integrity.
Gm, my people! 🫂 Today, I've added these two more humble lines of code to the amazing protocol we call Life! And I'm so grateful for that! 🧡 #puravida #wakenbakesundays #christmas #gardenstr
"But why think about that when all the golden lands ahead of you and all kinds of unforseen events wait lurking to surprise you and make you glad you're alive to see?' #gn my people!
Gm, my people! ☕ So, this morning, at work, we all received an email thanking us for our year's hard work and announcing that we all deserved a bonus. It goes on identifying the "traits" the department decided to take into consideration to attribute the amount in question. And by the end of the email, you can see the figure you got. A colleague: "450€?? Are you kidding me? That's just a freaking tip for all I've done for this company all year. They should be ashamed! Is this how they value my dedication?" Another colleague: "I got even less than you! 400€ for me! So, apparently everybody is getting a different amount! That's a nice way to demonstrate the equal treatment we all deserve!" "And you?" asked the first one, speaking at me, "How much did you get?" Me: "450 and 400€, you said? Well, that's more or less the amount the government is getting as a bonus from me, just because I was 'lucky' to get a bonus!" They both looked at me, kind of confused, and the second one inquired, "Why do you always have to speak to us in that tone?! If you don't want us to know how much you got, it's OK.!" You can't make this shit up!!
"We live in succession, in division, in parts, in particles. Meantime within man is the soul of the whole; the wise silence; the universal beauty, to which every part and particle is equally related; the eternal One." image
"When in Rome..." 😎 * Beef stew, white endive and apple salad and (of course)... fries * Voila! 🤌 #foodstr
