You can use cash, keep receipts, and trade locally.
You can verify ID through post offices or assisted centres.
Itโs slower, yes. But slower doesnโt mean worse.
It means real conversations, privacy, and control.
For some, this might even mean living a little more off-grid, slower, simpler, more self-reliant. Not hiding, just living on your own terms.
And no, you donโt need to get rid of your smart phone. The phone isnโt the problem. Itโs what you connect it to.
You can still use it for calls, photos, and maps, just skip the digital ID apps, face scans, and logins that tie everything back to your identity.
Refusing a digital ID doesnโt make you extreme.
It makes you someone who values choice.
Youโre not being left behind.
