TIL that in the 1980s, "Weird Al" Yankovic turned down a $5 million beer endorsement deal, which would be worth around $14.5 million today, because he felt it was unethical given his young, impressionable fanbase. #til #todayilearned https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/1i7gisi/til_that_in_the_1980s_weird_al_yankovic_turned/

TIL in 2017 a couple survived a wildfire in California by jumping into a neighbors pool and staying submerged for 6 hours. They came up for air only when they needed to, using wet t-shirts to shield their faces from falling embers. #til #todayilearned https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/1hyy2vv/til_in_2017_a_couple_survived_a_wildfire_in/ image
TIL Keira Knightley was 17 when Love Actually was filmed. Her character marries Peter (Chiwitel Ejiofor, 25 at the time), and is obsessed on Mark, played by Andrew Lincoln (29 at the time). They had to reshoot her facial reactions during the cue card scene because she thought it was too creepy. #til #todayilearned https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/1h8sxp0/til_keira_knightley_was_17_when_love_actually_was/ image
