Hey friend, if you don’t have a passport, you should strongly consider getting one. It’s good to travel if you can afford it but it’s also a security thing: no matter how you feel about your current overlords, throughout history the ability to leave your justification when you feel unsafe has been extremely valuable.

There’s a lot of assessments by people more knowledgeable than me, but the Halving could well already be priced in. I don’t care: I’m in this for freedom money, not fiat price. I’m going to celebrate it as a historically significant event. Glad to be here early and watching it unfold.

I’ve been recently thinking on that pernicious “digital assets declaration” checkbox on the IRS return… If you don’t check they can charge you of perjury if they can ever,* until the end of time, go back and claim you gifted or received a single satoshi. If you do check it, however, it’s screaming for an audit. Even if you’ve never actually sold anything or created a so-called taxable event, how do you prove a negative? *my recent understanding is that there is no statute of limitations on an alleged “false return”

In a tax audit it seems like you’re guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. Even if you’re in the right the process can be expensive and stressful.
