Hey friend, if you don’t have a passport, you should strongly consider getting one.
It’s good to travel if you can afford it but it’s also a security thing: no matter how you feel about your current overlords, throughout history the ability to leave your justification when you feel unsafe has been extremely valuable.

“The Venezuelan stock market keeps hitting all time highs. Their economy must be doing great!”
The effects of money printing are so fundamental and so misunderstood!

There’s a lot of assessments by people more knowledgeable than me, but the Halving could well already be priced in. I don’t care:
I’m in this for freedom money, not fiat price.
I’m going to celebrate it as a historically significant event. Glad to be here early and watching it unfold.
I’ve been recently thinking on that pernicious “digital assets declaration” checkbox on the IRS return…
If you don’t check they can charge you of perjury if they can ever,* until the end of time, go back and claim you gifted or received a single satoshi.
If you do check it, however, it’s screaming for an audit. Even if you’ve never actually sold anything or created a so-called taxable event, how do you prove a negative?
*my recent understanding is that there is no statute of limitations on an alleged “false return”
In a tax audit it seems like you’re guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. Even if you’re in the right the process can be expensive and stressful.

The 2016 dystopian novel “The Mandibles” by Lionel Shriver presciently forecasted that future parlance would reflect emergent economic absurdities.
She wrote that “treasury” would be adopted as a pejorative, meaning the same as bullsh*t. She was so close. Turns out “Fiat” was the word we actually settled on
There’s no such thing as an assault weapon…
At least to the extent that a libel pen doesn’t exist either.
The morality of tools depends how you use them.
An easy but great gift you can offer the world is the courage to say something benign like:
“I’m not sure I agree with that.”
“What does that actually mean?”
“Let’s look deeper into the assumptions of the argument”
Humans are hardwired to fit in. Far too often we go along with others faulty logic, partial truths, or outright lies because we don’t want to speak up for fear of seeming dumb or not being part of the “in group”
