I get all sorts of text messages that I presume are the attempt to start some kind of scam sequence, most innocuously worded but others pretty weird cold openers. I got one from an unknown number that just said “Are you here yet?” I was so tempted to reply with something like “Yes, and I have the briefcase of cash as instructed. What do I do now?” image

fentanyl is a significant problem. I don’t want to minimize or disregard that. But it seems a little odd 7 out of 10 pills are lethal. To put it incredibly crassly, that’s a poor business model. 😰 I had a family member volunteering on a phone “hotline” today that’s a resource if people wanted to call and speak to someone for prayer, learn more about what was said during Easter services, etc and apparently there was a coordinated campaign of people who would call in to harass and insult the volunteers. I have had more and more online vendors recently requiring invasive KYC checks before filling benign orders. No, I will not upload my government ID and other documents to buy your stuff. If you don’t offer other, less intrusive options, you’re either inept or a bad actor (not acting to prevent fraud but to exploit my personal data). Either way, I won’t do business with you, no matter how inconvenient it is for me.
