Funny thing I donated a painting that I made for Pearson College last year. Recently I was contacted by an art appraiser to have the works’ value affirmed before they use it to raise funds for the school. In my case the paintings are on a price schedule (that hasn’t been updated in a few years 🤔 ) They tell me that they can use recent sales records and / or commissions to put a number on it, because I haven’t shown in a gallery in a while now. I send them an email from a client showing a commissioned work similar in size and another sale from this year I sent the blockchain transaction IDs showing the BTC =) I’m super interested in how the appraiser will handle the valuations paid in BTC rather than $ #artstr #bitcoin #btcstandand #grownostr #art #appraisal

Apparently there are relatively few nodes running from Canada (except maybe those on Tor.) I’m installing a full node on my PC, tryna help do my part. I’m not all swept up in the knots vs core debate. I just feel like after self custody understanding nodes better comes next. I like the idea of a stand alone node like a Start9 or Umbrel. Waneskewin is a traditional native Buffalo jump where the indigenous people would herd and stampede the buffalo right off a cliff. Then they’d kill the wounded at the bottom below the jump and harvest the buffalo seasonally. This particular skull is from a type of buffalo that lived here 5000 years ago.
