Cowessess Traditional Powwow This is a grass dance. It comes from flattening the long grass down to prepare an area for a TeePee to be set up, or for activities. It’s used to bless and make read, areas for ceremonies. Stylized fluid movements win the favour with the judges, there are prizes, gifts and tobacco to be won. The regalia always impresses but good dancers make it look effortless. #grownostr #powwow #culture
