just wow... simply wild... the following vid was reposted by an account with 800K followers... I'm a huge carlin fan, and something seemed odd to me about the clip... I know most of his best moments, and this would have been one of them, but I'd never seen it... and turns out it's completely fake... an ai video created to lead viewers in a certain direction... bottomline, video no longer simply records reality... it can now create "reality" in the digital world. this is not a new revelation, but still the implications of this are incredibly unsettling... and its actually pushing me away from social media consumption.

I find nostr is typically full of signal... much of the time... but when I view @primal from any computer browser, once a video is watched, the audio from every video currently loaded in the current feed starts playing.... it is one of the noisiest things I've ever experienced on the internet... it's worse than an episode of piers morgan's show with four guests screaming over each other... hopefully there is a fix for this... anyone have another desktop nostr app they like that I can try until this gets fixed? #asknostr
