After the 2022 Chetamon Wildfire east of the Jasper Townsite the forest, including here beside Vine Creek, has been renewing itself. Three summers since, lush green shrubs and grasses have returned. We will have this renewal to look forward to across the park over the next few years to come! #MyJasper #CanadianRockies

We were helping out with a volunteer repair project this week at the Ralph Forster Hut on Mount Robson. Built in 1970, this is a mountaineers hut for parties climbing Mount Robson, and a spectacular place worthy of preserving. Yesterday the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park re-opened fully for the first since 2021. Well done BC Parks with great new bridges, re-routes, and other upgrades to this awesome area! Out in Valemount today with a morning stroll around the Cranberry Marsh and an afternoon ramble checking out snow levels. Still a bit too early to start our guided day hikes rambling up to the scenic heights of McKirdy Meadows but still great views across the valley! Always a striking difference this time of year between the teal glacial water of the mighty Athabasca River and the non-glacially fed Miette River. The Athabasca is the largest river system in Jasper National Park and empties into the Arctic Ocean! #MyJasper #CanadianRockies
