Is it possible to publish a Nostr note without typos? 🤔
(It took me attempts to write the question above. 😄)

I've started messing around with #Nym over the last 12 hours or so, and it's been great fun jumping into different channels and seeing what others up to.
As many have observed, this brings us back in many ways to the wild west days of IRC, meeting random people from all over the world. It can get a bit crazy at times with the spam (such as a Xi Jinping promoter) though.
In many ways, it's not just the wild side of the old days, but it brings back the simplicity of IRC as well. The fact that discussions are mostly text-based is a huge perk. The regional rooms are interesting, but it can be a big confusing if people don't know how to access the map codes and end up taking over this or that region's channel.
If I could offer any critique, it'd be some kind of way to easily hover over the regional channels' codes and to get a little pop-up with a rough description of countries that are included in that zone. It'd beat jumping back and forth all the time!
I think 99% of nostriches wouldn't fall for this, but feel free to pass this along to the 1% who think it'd be a great idea to go through KYC...with biometrics to get access to some shitcoin.

While some awesome nostriches are coding alternatives, I think we still need to promote and support alternatives to keep the mainstream web free as well. Too many people are still here, and we should be fighting for them too.
Hopefully, more options like this will continue to be developed and shared with the masses.

It feels like more and more of the world's governments are moving towards KYCing access to the internet. Here are just two more examples:
This is why freedom tech is so important. We need to be able to be free of this government overreach!

Do we have many nostriches behind the Great Firewall? If so, what's the state of BTC adoption on the ground? I know Alipay is practically everywhere now, but is anyone still taking the risk to use Bitcoin (or even XMR) day-to-day? If so, what are the options for buying and spending your coins in the PC?

I've set up #Bitchat on my phone and got another friend to do the same. Both are Android.
We've both messed around with the app, tried toggling Bluetooth on and off, etc.
Unfortunately, neither of us can see the other. Any recommendations for fixing this? Or any ideas of what we overlooked?

In #privacy news, I've just learned that Google pulled down some kind of Italian blog about the Latin Mass.
A couple of quick thoughts:
1. Why would Google want to censor religious news and discussion? What's in it for them?
2. How easy would it be to do a mass migration of blog articles for a site like that? Assuming they have a backup of their content, is there any way for them to post all of that content as articles to Nostr (without manually posting each one)?
3. Alternatively, moving forward, do we have any kind of tools that allow for Nostr back-up posting of blog articles? I know I've seen similar for Twitter notes, but has anyone built something similar for Nostr?
