Pumpkin is an excellent homesteader crop.
Great way to utilize excess nutrients in the soil, produces a lot per area and stores very well throughout the year.
Ours have kept fresh in the basement since october and supplied us ~50 dinners this season, of course along with our own beef, pork or lamb.
