Now both pigs and cows are employed full-time as landscapers, and will get to work the rest of the season converting forests into pastures, while producing the highest quality food there is. Then it finally feels like summer is really here☀️🌧️

Moar calfs

Life started a bit rough for the first calf of the year. A tiny heifer born prematurely and in rough weather. On day three she was so weak that we thought she wouldn’t make it. But after a couple of days of bottle feeding, and several reminders about who really is the mother, things got better and the calf now finds the teets on its own. Feels great to turn a bad starting point into the best outcome😊

I dont know why, but I just feel so much more cheerful after an hour on Nostr than on X. It’s almost like the algos fuck with your head. Anyone else notice the same?

A short story

After three days on foot, eating only bark from the trees and drinking muddy water from my chewing tobacco lid, I finally managed to find a sign of the bulls. I gave their shit a good sniff and knew instantly that I need to find a new job and that they are approximately 12 hours ahead of me. It’s hard to follow their tracks on this dry ground, but it’s getting easier every hour. I no longer fear what will happen once I get the rope around their neck. It’s all about getting there and putting an end to this. They will lose. I will win.

Not every day as a cowboy is as cool as the rest. Yesterday the two bulls we bought four days ago chose to take their freedom back. They ran and ran, and we lost sight of them in the forest more than 5 kilometers from the home they barely know. Searched with a thermal drone but no success. Darkness came before we could catch them.
