@jb55 Minor @damus feedback: After opening an image the clickable X area to close the image seems too small. I often have to tap several times trying to close it but it either doesn’t register or it thinks I tapped the image

In de basement.”

Balaji 90-day thing is alarmist and (hopefully) not a realistic timeframe but also more sensible than millions believing their savings are somehow held somewhere risk free
Obviously not. Why is anyone implying or asking this? No one wants a chaotic or violent transition. Some might expect it. No one wants it.
“Would you still cheer on the idea of #Bitcoin "going to $1,000,000 within 3 months" if it meant the developing world descend into chaos, starvation, and revolution for the next 36 months as the world transitioned?
Is expediting #Bitcoin adoption worth increasing the risk of WW3?” — @luke_broyles
Kinda ironic that closing BTC onramps promotes non-KYC methods of accumulating BTC.
“The fact that Bitcoin gives anyone property rights without the need for state enforcement or identification is a simply massive historical innovation that will take many decades for humanity to properly appreciate” — #[0]
These scopolamine attacks aren’t just a Colombia thing. It’s done in New Orleans and probably other party towns and tourist spots. If you’re gonna drink around strangers the private keys for the bulk of your coins need to be totally out of reach. Not in your hotel room, not somewhere you could make a phone call and retrieve them. Inaccessible. Because this drug can make you very compliant.

Initial thoughts on the iOS app from #[0] :
- Interesting to see a UI that isn’t based on Twitter. Having a post take up most of the screen regardless of the length of the content is clean looking but it’s gonna be too much swiping. Makes the feed impossible to skim.
- The app starts up empty half the time. No content. Hopefully an issue with the default (currently unmodifiable) relays that will be resolved soon.
#[0] I’m on Damus 1.1.0 and in Settings I can edit the value in the Default Zaps Amount field but then exiting Settings in any way seems to reset it to 1000 sats. Am I doing something wrong?
