just took two of our kids go-karting son was in his absolute element. loved it 100x. pig in shit. daughter was in complete survival mode - super overwhelmed. melted like an ice cube. it was two sessions with a gap between the two. I thought there was no way my daughter was getting back out there for the second session. To my surprise, she decided at the last minute she wanted to try it again. So powerful. She was doing great. I set her up so we just cruise around the course to the left, and she would drive following me. everything was great until some overestimated their competence and crashed into. that really took the cinnamon off her donut, and we exited the course. She's such a little beast though for having another crack, despite it not ending in an ideal fashion. moral of the story; when you find something that lights you up, move in that direction. do more of that. get good at it. this would be the case for my son. and invesely, when you have to really grind through something and it overwhelmes the absolute shit out of you, and you really you could endure it if you had too, but you don't really like it, especially when compared to something that fills your cup right up, it's great to have a go and explore, but recognising if it's not for you is ok. but interestingly, she still wants to try it again.
