I'm no UX expert but here are my thoughts regarding Bitcoin & Nostr. The path to get started, from 0 to 1 is relatively simple. From no coiner to sending / spending Bitcoin. Easy. Not your keys not your Bitcoin is easy. Too much focus is spent on the idiots that don't know how to write down words on steel / paper . Same thing for Nostr. Creating an Npub/Marc pair. Easy. Nothing hard about it and the UX for most apps is as smooth as can be for this firs experience is great. The path from 1 to 100 (or 99 since there's always more to learn)is incredibly difficult And terribly documented. The UX needs to get better for this part of the journey I've been a bitcoiner for a while. But I still dunno shit about UTXO management. And no service is documenting it properly, or making the UX intuitive enough for me to pick it up. IMO of course Or starting lightning channels on my own. This one might seem obvious for some, but there are huge friction points. Sure we can use a custodial lightning wallet and that's straightforward but thats the 0 to 1 path for lightning. Using Phoenix to manage your lightning channels, rebalance everything , or using Alby for NWC (wtf is this... I'm still lost to this day) or spinning up an electrum server for your sparrow wallet... Why am I doing this and wtf is it in the first place. Why do I need an electrum server if I'm running a node. These might be newbie questions, but I'd argue these are questions are probably asking after step 1. The more you learn the more there is to learn but this is where the rabbit holes begin and the UX supporting the journey deserves to be improved further.

This episode radicalized me even further. Crazy how many anecdotal stories pop up if you don't listen to mainstream media. The number of people I heard from about losing their friends, being fired, dying or their lives changing for the worst because of the bullshit that happened in the past 5 years has been maddening. And the biggest success was to isolate individuals that dated to question what is going on. It really makes you adopt a dystopian view of society. How can you convince your friends or the people you care about the most when they refuse to look.

GM Nostr. One of my neighbours has their car go off every morning. Same car. Same time. Every morning. It's religiously timed with my alarm to the point where I don't have to use one anymore. Made me think of this video

Agentic AI feature I want to see: Identify email addresses that I don't interact with and fucking unsubscribe. Probably won't happen, and probably tough to implement. How can you develop this while maintaining privacy. But still. If this is being pushed can we at least get something useful out of it bruh like fr. I don't give a shit about a summarization feature. I can read my guy.

I think it's safe to say Nostr memes are better than all other memes. Not that I have a recent point of reference, but all the memes I see on Nostr are so good. Compared to my previous life on other social media platforms. The memes were mid. Some good. Some Terrible.
