If you think Plato’s cave is about discovering a new perspective, or realisation through learning, then I’m afraid you are still in the cave. The exit door is your emotions and senses. Your thoughts are the cave.

We sold a bit of bitcoin as liquidity while selling our apartment and buying a home. We will probably have to sell some more to cover additional renovation costs. I’m super ok with that. Not ideal, but it’s fine. Just in case you were caught up in the whole maxi never selling meme madness. It’s ok to give yourself permission to live.

You know that scene in the Matrix where the Buddha-looking kid says something to the effect of “don’t try to bend the spoon, instead realise there is no spoon” That was one of the most direct hints you could possibly ask for in modern culture, and yet you all use the matrix like it’s an allegory for your point of view. THERE IS NO SPOON Meditate on that.

The Buddha’s central teaching is: you don’t exist. He was right. Ever seen things as they are without thought? Ever witnessed all things being one? Ever touched the face of god? You’re doing it right now.

Every time my wife loses a thing, she must lose two of mine to make up for it. I don’t make the rules

Love cannot be given or taken away. Love is the thread thad weaves all that is. Love is the unending creation of the now. With all that being self evident in direct experience, that’s what makes “I love you” so insidious. As if you have it for one person and not another. There is no I to be in the state of loving, as if there is any other state to be. There are also no true relationships, for the same reason. Evil arises from the denial of that truth.
