Reality Monitoring! I’ve just learned a new term. So let’s say you’re a giant loner. You have no local friends or support system. You can make up a lot of shit to start believing because there’s nobody there to say otherwise. This can happen purposely or accidentally. But without reality monitoring the chances of you becoming a serial killer grow. The same people can become convinced very easily that the people that do care are out to get them. Or make up reasons why these people don’t count . So they isolate themselves further and then they use that to live in some kind of insane fantasy land. And they pretend to be something they’re not. And can suddenly convince themselves. Something is normal That is definitely not. So tip of the day being social, having people to rely on can stop you from being a serial killer.
