SOFTWAR philosophy | mutually assured preservation | electro-cyber warfare and zero-trust cooperation
"#Bitcoin represents the only globally-adoptable physical power projection technology that is practically useful for nations to settle major policy disputes (including but not limited to international financial policy disputes), establish zero-trust control over valuable resources (including but not limited to financial information), achieve global consensus on the legitimate state of ownership and chain of custody of property (including but not limited to digital property), and preserve freedom of action and exchange of goods across cyberspace, and do it all beyond the limit of the kinetic ceiling where kinetic power projection competitions are no longer practically useful. Combining these observations with the fact that running a hash force can be a profitable endeavor due the high monetary value that people assign to underlying bits of information exchanged across these networks, this means proof-of-power protocols like Bitcoin paradoxically have the potential to represent the most powerful and efficient physical power projection technologies ever discovered by agrarian society." -Jason Lowery #bookstr #war #power
#introductions Hello, I've been on Nostr for a while but I'm looking to grow my followers. I post about Bitcoin's societal implications beyond money. And I post AI art. I'll follow back. 🦌🇺🇲🫡
I am very appreciative of @jackmallers. He is one of the strong men. Many influential voices in the community know what he is talking about, and agree, but are afraid to say it publicly. Those are the weak men.
Bitcoin is about objective reality. You can believe Christ is king, but leave Bitcoin out of it.
"Empires are built on productive property and they're defended by firepower, naval power, air power, nuclear power, and digital power. Bitcoin is digital power. You want Bitcoin, you want to own cyberspace, you want the most digital power just like you want nuclear power, air power, and space power." @npub15dql...lm5m image
I want you, all tattooed, I want you bad. Complicated, X rated, I want you bad. image
Now that Jason Lowery's work has been available for over a year (the PDF has been online for more than 12 months) choosing to view Bitcoin as merely a monetary innovation rather than viewing the technology from first principles in my opinion negatively impacts Bitcoin. Most people hold onto the money narrative because that's how Satoshi framed it in the whitepaper. There are malicious organizations who do not want we the people to understand his work and therefore make sure to reinforce this narrative. #SOFTWAR is in many ways the spiritual successor to the original whitepaper. @jack mallers gave a nice talk during the last @BTC Prague that offered a small glimpse into this way of thinking that was received quite well and for many people it was the best talk of the event. Saylor gave everyone a subtle hint to make sure they remain open minded by reminding them of rule #3 - you are never done learning about Bitcoin. Submit your ego. Put aside your preconceived notions about Jason or any secondhand accounts of his work you've heard and simply engage with the arguments in an intellectually honest way. Put in the proof of work to understand Bitcoin from first principles. Bitcoin is money, but it is so much more and that is where the real value of the protocol lies. Understanding SOFTWAR is fundamental to understanding Bitcoin and where we are headed in the future
