its kind of hard to put into words of how profound the shift has been in software, but I have an interesting piece of data to showcase it: between 2022 and before i started on agentium (feb5). I shipped: +80k, -51k (+29k) lines of code after agentium: +34k, -10k (+24k) lines of code in other words, I've done about the same amount of work since Feb5 (net lines of code) then i did over the past 4 years of notedeck/damus android. its fucking nuts. multiple years of work are becoming months

got my MacBook and windows laptop setup in clamshell mode, so now I can do ios dev and windows notedeck dev on the go with so many agents working across all my devices, I am going to start looking into a custom Dave agentic backend that can introspect all of the other agents and coordinate them. an agent that can read messages to/from all the other agents, thanks to the notes all being on nostr. image

During my workout i added: - People lists to damus android - auto accept edits on damus agentium - tilemaps to nostrverse - fixed an input box issue on agentium - remote session creation on agentium I can’t express enough how crazy valuable this app is. Working hard at polishing this for the appstore release! I will keep posting updates as we get closer. View quoted note →

my favourite thing is making a refactor skill that refactors code in a way i like it. I just asked claude: “can you make a refactor skill that uses subagents to find duplicate code and/or methods with large code blocks, so that we can extract them into smaller standalone functions (not methods)” It went off and built this skill, tuned for rust code. Now i just type “/refactor crates/notedeck_dave” to clean up slop and duplicate code. I need to use skills more.

we've been making so many updates at damus HQ that i forgot to talk about what we've been working on. Going to be sharing everything this week. To start, our damus.io links have significantly improved. You can slap on an nevent/nprofile/npub/note onto damus.io/ to get an outbox-loaded link to your post. This is statically rendered with rust, powered by nostrdb. It should be the fastest and most reliable web note renderer. It's almost a fully capable statically rendered nostr client at this point. Here's a demo!

Another day of barely trying to keep up with the blur of ai advancements: - perplexity computer: full blown cloud os for agentic work - cursor cloud agents that run a computer and can validate features it creates with a mouse and keyboard: slowly removing humans from the picture - anthropic remote sessions: do agentic engineering on the go like damus agentium but less powerful 😗 - replit animation for prompting product demo animations There are hundreds of things like this getting released every day. Software singularity is near 😵‍💫😵

Im glad i almost scooped the launch of this from anthropic, a company with thousands of engineers and a tool for one of their own products. Maybe a good sign i should keep at it 😅 View quoted note →
