I joined Facebook in 2011 and today I deleted my account . My feed went from seeing an ad barely at all back in 2011 to being full of them . I have seen over the years 3rd party companies allowed to harvest most of the things I post and comment on with my closest aquintances . It simply was not the place I signed up to in 2011 . I am forever grateful to have found this protocol at such an early stage and I hope that it becomes nothing like Meta and Facebook . We are better .
