#pakistan is a country with a population of approx. 260m people, where the authorities are gluttonous on citizens’ rights, including right of (online) expression. The social media platforms like twitter (X) are to be used with the VPNs. Now the government is banning the VPNs too. Everyone on these platforms cry about these sanctions During my engagement, I tell many of them about #nostr and how it can solves this problems with censorship. Imagine the potential of these protocols for the people living under such regimes. But as of today, no one ever came back to me if he/she has started using any Nostr client I understand that education is the key to self sovereignty (with #bitcoin & #nostr). Keeping in mind the people who hardly can read 5 sentences of English (but are still using Tiktok, IG, FB), can we make onboarding on Nostr as easy as on X, IG and tiktok? Now I understand why @DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 said: “If we want Nostr to win we need to up our game, the competition is not static.”
