The moment when you open gnome-calculator and opensnitch asks you if you want to allow the calculator to connect to ecb and iwf. eh, no, thanks.

#bitaxe I don’t if I’m wrong and who is reading this but you should consider providing an easy method for the user to set up a VPN or Tor on AxeOS before putting it into operation for the first time. Broadcasting the shares and bitcoin address in clear text is not cool, is it? People run their nodes behind Tor and here comes a miner who is revealing itself freely to the ISP… yes I know, “then run a OpenWrt Router with a VPN on it” but this isn't as trivial as the former. And a self-signed certificate when logging into the DB would also be very nice.

Apart from the fact that this is a great article, can you see all the images within this article on #damus ? I can’t. In contrast, everything is fine on #amethyst . #asknostr View quoted note →

@Zapstore Hello again. I don't get how zap.store works or to put it in another way, what makes it different and special compared to other appstores? Sure there are cool apps in there, no question but you have no detailed explanation on your website. Looks just like another appstore to me? Whom I have to trust that the apps in there haven't been altered and are verified? Currently I download apks to my computer, verify, then sideload them onto my Android and instal theml. After I've done that I add them to Obtanium for future updates. I don't mean to offend. Just want to learn. Maybe I'm just too dumb to understand the few sentences on your website about the web of trust thing. Thanks in advance for your response.

@Zapstore Hello there. I was thinking about how zap.store could be leveraged to help the iPhone folks out there. Android users are already very privileged because there are many options available to them (Aurora with anonymous throw-away accounts, F-Droid, just grabbing an apk-file, verifying, installing and adding it to Obtanium and so on). Could zap.store be implemented in a similar or better way like Altstore in the future? Apple people, dependent on a centralized app-store, are pretty fucked if Apple should go full retard one day and remove all Bitcoin or even Nostr apps. Aren’t there any solutions to that?
