Len Sassaman could be Satoshi Nakamoto. Len was a #PhD researcher - an academic, studying computer security and cryptography at KU Leuven University, Belgium. Out of the 8 references cited in the Bitcoin paper, 5 are peer-reviewed academic research papers, of which 3 are peer-reviewed conference proceedings from academic scientific symposia.
