No podcast today. I’m sorry but Mediacom has really dropped the ball and I have been without Internet for four days now. I was told tonight by Mediacom support that it could be up to 10 more days for the needed maintenance to be done. This is what a lack of competition does - creates regulation backed ineptitude that we have to suffer through.

Don’t understand what’s going on with the world’s economies? Let me ask you something. If all the previous major innovations that mankind has had ( fire, agriculture, the printing press, Industrial Revolution, the integrated circuit, the internet for example ) have succeeded in making mankind more prosperous and productive and should ( and has ) lead to cheaper and better products and services - then why do the Keynesian economists fear deflation ( ie - my computer now is both cheaper and far more powerful than the Commodore 64 I had in the early 80’s allowing me to be exponentially more productive). Why the fear? Tug at that thread in the tapestry and see where it goes …

Happy White Paper Day to all the Plebs!!! https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf For the clowns in the room who think the Bitcoin network is for dumping your garbage on … I direct you to the first sentence of the abstract of the white paper … “Abstract. A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. “

Well said. Dovetails nicely with a recent point I made on the Satoshi’s Plebs podcast. Gen Z have a tool to break the financial chains that Gen X didn’t have … USE IT!!!! nostr:note1lt8q4jlqafevjdtae07wktxex3q3kwa63v66456xqhc33ayneuqqjzgx4c

I have loved music since I was a kid. One of my distinct memories is lying on the floor in front of one of the speakers of my dad’s stereo system and listening to albums we had checked out of the library. Anyways, music has changed for sure. Some of it for the better and some of it not. I was looking for new music for the Satoshi’s Plebs podcast - we play v4v music every week at the end of the show and any sats streamed or boosted during the song go to the artist. I thought I found a new artist and started listening. Really nice - over-engineered but that’s normal these days. Great voice - almost too great. Then I looked at the artwork and the picture of the artist. Hmmm that doesn’t look right. Wait .. is this all ai generated? From all the artwork and such I would almost bet on it. After listening to the music for a while I do think it was all ai. I try not to be that grumpy old man. Really. But I’m not sure how I feel about this.. In the one hand it takes talent to do this type of work. But it seems deceptive to me. And live music has always been part of the music experience. Certainly won’t be happening in this case.. What are your thoughts? Should I even consider putting something like this as a v4v show ending segment for our podcast?

I have two or three s19jpro used for sale . They are my original miner ms and had been in service about 2.5 years. No issues just retired. Any suggestions on how I could sell? I’m asking 3$ a terrahash.

Pretty sad that we now have people just discounting instances of knots because …. wait for it … it’s running on aws. I run knots on my desktop as well as electrs for my wallet usage. I run knots on a vps because I need it for my lightning node ( also on that vps ). Maybe I am not the average pleb. I feel like I am. The “core defenders” are sounding desperate.

I’m so confused.. this isn’t hard people. The first line of the abstract paragraph of the Bitcoin white paper is this .. “A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.“ Satoshi wrote this in October of 2008.

With all this talk about Bitcoin podcasts .. don’t worry ! In the depths of the next bear market half of those podcasts won’t even be around. 😂🤪
