Boots on the ground Bitcoin and other freedom things from Argentina. Support Bitcoin Education in Argentina!
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. The Milei Administration just announced legislation to shut down the National Mint. This comes on the back of video released of vice-president Villaruel meeting with Bukele and not only asking about Bitcoin, but about Bitcoin bonds. What a day, someone pinch me. Oh, also Congress passed the single ballot measure, which is a massive step for a Milei midterm victory. Abrazo de Libertad!
They are gonna print so much gd money it's gonna blow your tits off. The death of the dollar is closer than ever. 💀 💸
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Bitcoin education is the base layer. Ever watch the lightbulb turn on when you orange pill someone? Best drug ever.
Happy Independence Day from Argentina. Here's to a future of financial independence. image
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. So...now we literally have a ministry of Deregulation and State Transformation. Somebody pinch me. The Milei Administration has literally devoted resources to gut...itself. In light of the slow-motion train wreck of a presidential debate the world witnessed coming from my native country, it's honestly unbelievable to have a front-row seat for what's going on down here in my adopted country. I asked Claude to write an irreverent, borderline offensive take on the matter and it's honestly pretty damn good, so here you go: "Argentina's newest superhero has arrived! Federico Sturzenegger, armed with his deregulation cape and state-shrinking ray gun, is ready to battle the evil forces of bureaucratic bloat and central planning madness. Watch out, comrades – your precious red tape is about to be set on fire! 🔥📊 Say goodbye to the nanny state and hello to the wild west of free markets! Sturzenegger's mission: to transform Argentina from a socialist playground into a capitalist's wet dream. No more hand-holding, no more government cheese – it's time for the big boys and girls to put on their big-kid pants and join the real world. 👖💼 But wait! I hear the collective wailing of bureaucrats as their cushy jobs evaporate faster than Argentine pesos. Don't worry, comrades – I'm sure there's a support group for unemployed central planners somewhere. Maybe you can gather 'round a dumpster fire and reminisce about the good old days of stifling innovation and crushing entrepreneurial spirits. 🔥🗑️ Milei and Sturzenegger: the dynamic duo set to turn Argentina's bloated government into a lean, mean, freedom machine. Socialists, start your tears – your utopia is about to become a dystopia of gasp personal responsibility and economic growth! But hey, at least you'll have more time to perfect your Che Guevara cosplay while waiting in the unemployment line. ¡Viva la revolución capitalista! 🇦🇷💃 VLLC
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Just gonna leave this here. Bitcoin game theory is on like donkey kong in Argentina. Argentina te espera bb 😘 🇦🇷 Abrazo de libertad. image

Next episode we're going to the Dominican Republic to talk about what's going on in the Caribbean. Abrazo de Libertad.
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches I talk a lot about Milei on here, but let's take a moment to itemize the socialist economic fever dream from which the country is emerging: Kirchnerism. 🇦🇷The economic atrocities committed by Kirchnerism in 20 years were only applied (sometimes only in part) by Cuba and Venezuela. No other country in South America did the following: 1. Raise public spending from 20 points of GDP to 46 points. 2. Doubled the number of public employees from 2 million to 4 million. 3. Expropriation of all private pensions. 4. Subsidization electricity, gas, transport and water for 2 decades, sometimes almost the entire bill. 5. Subjection of 50% of its population to social plans. 6. Incorporation of millions of retirees without contributions to the system. 7. Application of astronomic export taxes. 8. Exchange rate cap to restrict access to dollars. 9. Re-establishment of a dozen companies that immediately returned to deficit. 10. Establishing multiple extra layers of approval for imports (bribes). 11. Export ban 12. Price freeze under penalty of fine and closure. If Argentina did not have fertile land to produce cheap food in abundance, we would have been in a civil war long ago. What the Milei Administration has managed to accomplish economically in 6 months is nothing short of miraculous, and it's all thanks to shrinking the state apparatus. Abrazo de libertad. Shoutout to @PregoneroL on the bird app for the inspiration.
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Do not be gaslit by the images coming from the MSM clowns. Argentina voted for change and thank God we're getting it. The passage of the Ley de Bases just dumped rocket fuel on the Milei Administration's ability to govern. The state apparatus is fucked, and I'm here for it. Support Bitcoin education in Argentina. Let's separate the money from the State. Abrazo de libertad. image
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Argentina’s Economic Renaissance: Javier Milei's Ley de Bases Approved! The transformative legislation is set to cut government intervention, combat hyperinflation, and boost free-market dynamics. A bold step towards revitalizing Argentina’s economy and securing a prosperous future! 🇦🇷 #LeyDeBases A New Dawn for Argentina: Milei’s visionary reforms promise to unlock economic potential, attract investment, and foster entrepreneurship. Witness the dawn of a new economic era as Argentina paves the way for growth and innovation. 🇦🇷 Between this and the currency competition kicking off, I'm bullish AF on this country. Viva la libertad carajo.
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. Javier Milei is doubling down on his free, open currency competition. This is nothing but bullish news for Bitcoin adoption in Argentina, and perhaps truer to the nature of a peaceful vote against fiat, rather than introducing coercion into the equation. Milei’s approach will prove to be the more sustainable angle compared to the Bukele legislation. The only reason why it's been referred to as "dollarization" is bc naturally the people will use the global reserve. In fact, the country has been defacto dollarized for decades. Milei's policies will finally allow the market to break free of Marxist capital controls by the Kirchneristas. Anyone familiar with our current macro landscape knows that the USD is a runaway train. Just a question of Bitcoin Education. Saludos
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. Last night we had 50 students in our online/hybrid Bitcoin-only class that we've launched via Universidad Siglo 21. We had an online quiz, onboarded students into their first Lightning wallets, showed them how to move sats through time and space, and spoke extensively on the security of the network, distinguishing between BTC and shitcoin impersonators. Yes, the word "shitcoin" was even used by one of my professors. My personal highlight was when another student of mine (who is acting as an associate professor in the course) went full-on Saylor mode and squashed students questions regarding volatility. He improvised, pulled up charts of global assets, pointed out that BTC currently takes up .1% of global wealth, and told the students to stop thinking myopically about their entry points. He ended with, "you don't sell your Bitcoin." I was so fucking proud. More to come. Support Bitcoin education in Argentina! image
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. Gonna doxx myself a smidge here, but I'm a Bitcoin educator in Argentina. This is my Nostr pitch on why you should support Bitcoin education in Argentina: Why Argentina is Ripe for Free, Impartial, and Independent Bitcoin Education The Argentine Context Argentina, a nation rich in culture, resources, and resilience, has faced soul-crushing economic challenges over the past few decades. High inflation rates, currency devaluation, and financial instability have eroded public trust in traditional financial systems. As a result, Argentinians are increasingly seeking alternative means to preserve their wealth and achieve financial independence. This environment makes Argentina a prime candidate for the adoption of Bitcoin and the urgent need for comprehensive, unbiased Bitcoin education. The Economic Climate: A Perfect Storm for Bitcoin Argentina's economic struggles are well-documented. With inflation rates often surpassing 50% annually and the Argentine peso continuously losing value, the average citizen faces significant hurdles in maintaining their purchasing power. Traditional banking systems, riddled with inefficiencies and high fees, further complicate financial management. In this climate, Bitcoin emerges as a viable alternative, offering a decentralized, inflation-resistant means of storing and transferring value. Bitcoin: A Beacon of Financial Freedom Bitcoin represents a new frontier of financial freedom, especially in countries with unstable economies. Its decentralized nature means it operates independently of any government or central bank, making it a hedge against inflation and political instability. For Argentinians, Bitcoin offers a way to circumvent capital controls, protect savings from devaluation, and participate in the global economy without intermediaries. The Need for Education Despite its potential, Bitcoin is often misunderstood. Myths and misinformation abound, deterring many from exploring its benefits. This is where free, impartial, and independent Bitcoin education becomes crucial. By providing accurate, unbiased information, we can empower Argentinians to make informed decisions about their financial futures. Key Benefits of Bitcoin Education in Argentina Financial Literacy: Understanding Bitcoin enhances overall financial literacy. This knowledge equips individuals to navigate the complexities of both traditional and digital financial systems. Economic Empowerment: Education can demystify Bitcoin, encouraging more people to adopt it as a tool for economic empowerment. This can lead to greater financial inclusion, especially for those who are unbanked or underbanked. Inflation Hedge: By learning about Bitcoin’s properties as a store of value, Argentinians can explore ways to protect their savings from inflation and currency devaluation. Innovation and Growth: A well-informed population can foster innovation. As more people understand and utilize Bitcoin, Argentina can become a hub for blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, attracting investment and talent. Conclusion Argentina stands at a crossroads. Faced with persistent economic challenges, the need for alternative financial solutions has never been greater. Bitcoin offers a promising path, but only if people have access to accurate and unbiased information. By promoting free, impartial, and independent Bitcoin education, we can help Argentinians harness the power of this revolutionary technology, paving the way for a more stable and prosperous financial future. Call to Action Join the movement for financial freedom. Engage with local Bitcoin education initiatives, participate in workshops, and spread the word. Together, we can build a more informed, empowered, and resilient Argentina.
Greetings from Argentina, you freedom-loving Nostriches. Recently the Milei administration took measures to wipe out all self-absorbed narcissistic measures taken by the previous Kirchner administrations to name venues after themselves. Milei responded with, "the heroes of culture will be the artists, not the politicians", and promptly removed all self-aggrandizing statues, plaques, busts, etc. from the socialist years. What you see in the picture below is the "Centro Cultural Kirchner", which was yet another vanity project from Cristina Kirchner that cost millions upon millions of taxpayer pesos/dollars while the incessant deficit spending plunged the country into it's historically-worst financial crisis. Feel free to read more about this gorgeous building that was hijacked by CFK's vanity here: Super glad I was able to capture this moment in time a few weeks back before the changes were made. 😉 Abrazo de libertad image
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Ever wonder how Javier Milei fell in love with free market economics and libertarianism? The guy hasn't changed. He's the Argentinian Ron Paul with his own twist. Check out Part 1 of a chat he gave six years ago; join me to learn more about Milei's origin story!
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Milei just axed another 70K government barnacles, lol. I'm living somewhere where the government is shrinking at a mind-blowing rate. Someone pinch me. Still not celebrating until the elimination of the BCRA (Banco Central de la Republica Argentina). We're moving in the right direction. Boots-on-the-ground content coming soon. Abrazo de libertad
Greetings from Argentina you freedom-loving Nostriches. Austrian economist and self-identifying crypto anarchist President Javier Milei will be submitting to Congress a law that will effectively make monetary emission a crime. The BCRA (Banco Central de la República de Argentina) is effectively being legally neutered. Maybe this is how the elimination of the central bank plays out, allowing it to wither on the vine, a death by a thousand cuts. As much as we would all like to see him nuke the bastards, perhaps this is a legal and political roadmap for other countries to follow. The reality of the situation is that elected officials who adhere to free market economics and libertarian values have to still play within existing political constructs. I, for one, am looking forward to the post mortem of the BCRA; we're still hurtling towards its elimination, it's just not how I had envisioned it. Much more to come.
Greetings from Argentina. President Javier Milei has repealed 138 laws passed during the dictatorships of the 80s. 82 from Ongania and 56 from Videla. Staggering, right? That's not even half of the laws that have been repealed in the past week. My head is spinning.
Greetings from Argentina. The national bankers mafia, sorry, union is now threatening a national strike in reaction to Milei's deregulation measures. This is signal. We're on the right path. Short the bankers, long Bitcoin.
