This froggie 🐸 caused me to scream... I thought it was a leaf that I reached out to brush off with my hand from the patio cushion as I was about to sit down to do a hape meditation... And Jumped back and screamed as I felt it's fleshy texture wrap around my finger. I am definitely no stranger to frog medicine with my kambo warrioress burn dots scars etched on my left shoulder as proof. But it caught me by surprise. I couldn't help but wonder if a kambo purge is perhaps in order. Anyhow. Today already we got hawk medicine, jaguar medicine and now frog medicine present in the field. So thank you, beloved animal spirits. image image

The reason I wanted to share about Khan Krum was the establishing of the laws during his rulership. nostr:nevent1qqsf0e9crz7pgrxlktn3dmvdcgp0yrylfv0wnfncfg9a7summf0rz0gpzemhxue69uhkummnw3ex2mrfw3jhxtn0wfnj7q3q9aftr8lpgz8knmswjz0d3l9vzwx97dcvqh0zfuxcxu9d57t4yv3sxpqqqqqqzlxchwc

It's a sad story when a man chooses the safe route and supresses his own heart's truth and calling. Don't hide... unveil your #braveheart, my love.

Khan Krum (803–814) Khan Krum was one of the most significant and powerful rulers of the First Bulgarian Empire, remembered for both his fierce military might and his uncompromising legal reforms. His reign transformed Bulgaria from a tribal confederation into a disciplined medieval state, feared and respected across Europe. --- πŸ›‘ Expansion and Military Power Krum came to power after a period of instability and quickly consolidated control over Bulgaria. He expanded the empire west into Pannonia (modern-day Hungary) and north into parts of Transylvania (modern-day Romania), while pressing south against the Byzantine Empire (today’s Greece and Turkey). His greatest triumph came in 811 at the Battle of Pliska, where he decisively defeated Emperor Nikephoros I. The emperor was killed in battle, and Krum famously had his skull cleaned, lined with silver, and used as a drinking cup β€” a chilling symbol of both triumph and intimidation. Just two years later, in 813, Krum brought his forces to the walls of Constantinople (today Istanbul, Turkey), proving that Bulgaria’s power had reached its height, though the imperial capital itself never fell. --- βš– Legal Reforms Krum is equally renowned for establishing the first codified legal code in Bulgaria, one of the earliest in medieval Europe. His laws sought to forge unity, prevent chaos, and instill discipline in his multi-ethnic empire. They were strict, symbolic, and vividly tied to the crime itself: Theft β†’ hands cut off. Sheltering criminals β†’ death penalty. False accusations or slander β†’ tongue cut out. Chronic drunkenness β†’ severe punishment, sometimes execution. Refusing to aid the poor or disabled β†’ confiscation and redistribution of property. These measures outlawed blood feuds, cracked down on corruption, and demanded social responsibility. Brutal by modern standards, they gave the empire the stability and cohesion it needed to thrive. --- 🌍 Legacy Krum’s rule turned Bulgaria into a formidable medieval power, feared by both Byzantines and Franks. He is remembered as both conqueror and lawgiver β€” a leader who embodied the archetype of the warrior-ruler, binding his empire together with sword and law alike. His reign laid the foundations for Bulgaria’s later Golden Age under rulers such as Khan Omurtag and Tsar Simeon the Great, proving that discipline and vision could elevate Bulgaria to the ranks of Europe’s great states. --- ✨ In short, Khan Krum was more than a warrior king β€” he was the ruler who gave Bulgaria both its strength and its order, leaving behind a legacy that endures in legend and history alike. #layingdownthelaw #history #bulgarianempire

Randomly found this video reminding me of my beloved feet gloves that have been my faithful servants for many years protecting my feetsies from blisters on the barefeet ecstatic dance floor. I was devastated when I destroyed them in the drier three years ago right before I was uprooted into nomadism. I haven't done much of three hour ecstatic dance sessions at a time since. But I better find and order these again and get back on that dance floor.

Got to meet this lil sweetheart last night and she is now almost 3. I asked her what she loves the most right now... She thought and said "my friends". 😍 She told me she goes to daycare and that's where a lot of her friends are. Then she asked me "where do you live?" And as I stumbled around to find an answer like "everywhere and no where. My home is where my heart is πŸ˜†" her dad filled her in for me "she's a gypsy". I was like... Yeah... I been going with nomad and noone has yet called me that but "gypsy will do" . Our time was short but my heart has opened just a bit more having seen my sweet lil friend who is growing beautifully, again. https://blossom.primal.net/b34b1dc7ae202f6f006a0f16d984b0f7303925ab929f0639dea2ed75f479d875.mp4

This song on the Voyager 2 (the original in this mix), carries the story of my ancestor, Delio Haidutin, a revolutionary protector of the people during 5 centuries of Ottoman slavery. Legend says no bullet could wound him, no sword could cut him… until his enemies forged a silver bullet made especially for him. In the end, betrayal struck him. https://youtu.be/kqTs0-icw0I
