I have this (probably stupid) idea to build a website where people who want to open a Lightning channel can go. If you don’t know who you want to open to you go here and say I want to open a 1M sat channel. You then guess the block hash of block X in the future. Whoever is closest wins and all those people open a channel to them. And maybe they open their channel to the site? Not sure about that part. Obviously not ideal for balance etc. but I’ve definitely been in the situation where I want to open a channel and I don’t really care to who. It would need a reputation system like LightningNetwork+ because there would be no way to enforce. Best argument though is that I would use it. The Channel lottery.
