Been busy! Started new job calibrating scales at the end of January, then got the hand foot mouth plague and that took me out for a whole week. Still dealing with my skin peeling from where the blisters were, which also happens to mean I’ve lost all my calluses. Just a friendly PSA: symptomatic Hand Foot Mouth Disease can happen in adults, and it sucks balls. The first four pics were Saturday afternoon, free my beloved wife went full witch doctor and whipped up a salve which almost immediately began reducing the swelling. I woke up at 0200 that morning, my hands on fire, so swollen from the blisters I couldn’t move them. A couple of my finger tips are still so swollen that they’re numb, and my left thumb struggles to register a button tap on my iPhone lol. Last six pics are today, just now as I wrote this. Keep your immune systems on point, folks, I don’t think I’d wish that first 12 hours on my enemies.

Stopped by one of the big surplus stores bout an hour away from me the other day, just to kill a few minutes as I was early for the reason I was in the area. Normally this store is a little over priced, but right off the bat I found a couple of the head wraps I use when I’m welding for $5/$6 so I snagged those. Wandered to the back and what did my eyes fall upon but these two beauts! $18 a piece. Gotta clean ‘em up and figure out a spout for the Napa-branded Eagle, and make sure they both seal (these will go into rotation of my storage fuel to replace the shitty plastic ones). Went in not planning to spend anything and came out spending $50 lol
