We, the real people of Iran, have many criticisms and serious problems with the people running the country. But we have never supported the war-driven policies of Israel or the United States. Throughout our thousands of years of history, Iran has never been the one to start a war. The short history of these countries has been filled with threats and wars, yet under the excuse of Iran possibly obtaining a nuclear bomb, they started a conflict that has affected the entire world. They wanted to destroy Iran’s government and civilization, but what we are actually seeing inside Iran is greater unity among many people and their presence in the streets every night to protect that unity. At the same time, many of us still strongly oppose the government. But foreign military intervention and war have never helped people — and never will. 🕊️

One of the most remarkable things during the war, especially after the threats from the U.S. and Israel to bomb bridges, infrastructure, and energy facilities — and after many hospitals, clinics, ambulances, and power plants in different cities were bombed — was how ordinary people responded. Volunteers formed human shields, standing hand in hand around these places day and night to protect them. ❤️🕊️🤝

In Iran, food, vegetables, and fruit are still widely available because exports have stopped, so thankfully there’s no famine. 🍎🥬🍞 But a huge number of people have lost their jobs, and many are struggling to afford basic food supplies. Everything has become much more expensive, and stores have raised their prices dramatically. 💸 The internet has been shut down for “security reasons,” and that has made people really angry. Only certain people still have proper access, while the rest of us have to buy expensive VPN configs just to get online. And even 1 GB of internet disappears after just 5 minutes of checking Instagram. 📵😅 I really hope things return to normal soon. Even before all this, our country was already dealing with heavy sanctions. 🙏

After nearly 70 days since the war that the foolish Trump started, we are still living in a situation that is neither war nor ceasefire. 💔 The internet is mostly cut off. During all this time, this is only the second time I’ve managed to connect to the global internet for a few minutes. Prices keep rising every day, while so many people have lost their jobs. Life is becoming harder and harder each day. 🥀 I just hope all this patience, suffering, and hope will be worth something in the end. 🤍
