My thoughts going into this event were unfounded. Amplify 2024 was absolutely bitcoin-centered. The event had about 120+ people and was hosted by the Ohio Blockchain Council. The focus was energy and mining. Shout out to Andrew Burchwell who organized it. If you can travel to the midwest next year, I recommend attending. We plan to be there.

Looking forward to spending time at Amplify 2024 today. This is not my comfort zone, pure-maxi, bitcoin-only event, e.g., BBB, TABConf, Unconferences. The event is focused on mining and energy but not all attendees are bitcoin-maxis. There's something about talking with people with challenging questions versus those are already in our bitcoin-maxi-bubble. IMHO, tough questions make you think which is like feedback for better learning which makes you stronger. For example, how do you orange pill someone who loves crypto? Throwing HFSP memes isn't effective.

Also while in Virginia we had an opportunity to talk with perhaps the only elected politician at the federal level who has the courage to stand up against clown world ideas. We are so grateful for all that Congressman Massie has done and continues to do.

We visit Virginia periodically for family. While in town we reach out to Bitcoiners in the area. Last night at Compass Coffee we had a blast. We started with a book club discussion and wrapped up with Hodl Up. Getting beat at your game is humbling. An awesome group!!!! We're definitely visiting again! ☕️☕️

The more I learn about Bitcoin, the more I just want to learn ... about everything. I'm learning through my current project creating a series of videos to highlight bitcoin ideas in the game HODL UP. The accessibility - and therefore impact - will be exponentially greater than my book. As always, to die-hard nostriches, the long term plan will be to host these on my own server, Today, I'm getting the content out there on YouTube. Starting a new project. I'm creating videos to simplify the bitcoin ideas from the game HODL UP. These ideas are already in book form, "Teaching through Games: 21 Bitcoin Lessons", but honestly it would be much more accessible (and therefore impactful) to put content in video. Until I figure out the hosting for videos for nost, I'll just post the youtube links. Yes, this is not ideal. Two thoughts. First, this is an interim plan. Low time preference plan is to have all content off of youtube. Second, being on youtube helps with pre-coiners. And the idea of HODL UP is to have fun and have a bridge to pre-coiners.
