#asknostr What if anyone could place a task on a map with a Bitcoin bounty, and someone nearby could complete it for the sats?
Pick up a parcel, return some keys, check a property, buy an item, anything legal.
Not just car rides or food delivery - Any real-world task.
Would you use it to post tasks, earn sats, or both? What would you need in order to trust it?

Mafrend is a decentralised, Map based social network where you can chat with any destination. Thanks to Nostr and Blossom - your identity and your data is fully under your control, not a corporation.

#asknostr Have you ever discovered or joined an event through a Nostr client?
If not, what’s stopping you: no nearby events, poor discovery, missing client support, privacy concerns or something else?
#asknostr NIP-52 events can include a location and geohash. For interoperable maps, should an event reference a signed Place or OpenStreetMap object, or is venue text + geohash enough?
#asknostr If Nostr had a map-native client, what would make you open it regularly?
Nearby notes? Places shared by people you follow? Private meetups? Private Location sharing?
Your map-social world doesn’t have to end with Snapchat or Instagram Maps, especially when you are on Nostr.
Snapchat → Mafrend
Instagram Map → Mafrend
Other map-social apps → Mafrend
Mafrend brings conversations, shared places, and time-bound location updates together on one map, built on Nostr.
It’s still alpha, which is exactly why your testing and feedback matter, it helps to shape the future of the Map Nostr Client.
Download Mafrend on Zapstore:
Btw, the new Mafrend 1.2 alpha is now available with Marmot Private Groups support.

Today I presented the whole idea about Mafrend vision to @Sovereign Engineering, one guy told it's impossible to build it, "being too many things at once" - which I don't doubt, but I responded that "We should aim to the stars, and even we don't make it there at least we could be a planet." saying about maps.
Oh nice! At least one Relay on JVM that I know.
Do you support all special kind rules like correctly handling the replaceable events, deletion requests events, metadata events etc?
GM and GoodDay, wherever you are.

That’s interesting
It’s scary that whatever I post on Nostr is uneditable, sometimes undelitable 😳
What if I make a typo - and the whole world will know?
