The key point from my talk at adopting Bitcoin: If we do not retain the option to access and question “source,” which I define as the originator of a piece of content, then humanity is irrecoverably lost. There is no more important battle than this. It is the priority. image

I’m working across too many mediums. Apologies if I’m repeating myself. I’ll have subtitles uploaded to the video I put on rumble in the near future. Never done this before but I’m guessing i can probably figure out a way to do it with whisper…? Regardless the audio isn’t great. Adopting is going to upload their recording of my talk too, but I’m guessing it’ll be worse. I’ll also upload a video with better audio levels to rumble too and see if I can host it natively on one of my sites. Might work better, but for whatever reason I have insanely bad luck with implementing video playback. I’m waiting for the video to compile and will then upload one with significantly better audio to Rumble. Typically this process will take about 90 minutes? In any case, you can check out my channel on Rumble or just wait for me to post here or on Twitter confirming that it’s live. I might fall asleep. I’ve only had one day in the last 10 where El Salvador allowed me to get more than 5 hours of sleep. But it’ll be live asap. Sorry that the audio in the first upload was kinda crap.

Tonight I received 22,237 sats. This is the most I have ever received on NOSTR, I think. For full transparency’s sake, I estimate my “survivable but not thriving” estimate for me to continue developing my products at roughly $125k for the next 12 months. Obviously more is better and less is possible, but that’s the minimum amount that means I don’t have to worry about compromising the products or vision to make ends meet. At current exchange rates, that is 131,578,947 sats. 131,556,710 left to go. Plus a bit extra so I can zap back. 💛

Having fun with some of these NOSTR clients. It’s like emotional support, helps me feel less frustrated with the quirks in the stuff I work on. I think most of my posts here may possibly end up being more technical than what I write on Twitter. I don’t intend to cross-post very often, just because the audiences are different. My goal with Twitter for the last 14 months has been documenting my position on various issues that are important to the primary users of my products. Most of my products are aimed at non-technical, conservative Americans aged 35+. Due to this, my posts are more about giving people a history of demonstrated basedness since my claim is that explicit bias is desirable. Here, though, I think I’ll wind up fielding more technical and privacy-related questions. Happy to do so. With one caveat. Some of these features are being thought out or considered, it’s just not possible for me to do all the things at the same time. It’s also challenging to explain various interactions between apps/etc without understanding how the entire ecosystem works, and with both sides of that (app and ecosystem) being developed concurrently and in flux, I may say some confusing or inaccurate things. It’ll happen, but I’ll try to use plain English so the majority of users can understand what I’m saying even if it’s kinda… annoyingly defined. Onward!

Switching between three different NOSTR clients on three devices with very different IxD may eventually drive me crazy enough to just develop my own way to aggregate and respond in a PWA or something. Gestures and buttons are so different between Android and iOS it's like they're in cahoots to make users with many devices go insane.

My profile might be kinda trash for a day or two as I am readjusting back to NOSTR. Not only am I poking at what's possible and testing it, but I am also retarded. nostr:nevent1qqsxtaew4fgy52w0cgjsrlxecjcn4z8uyjvpm76ez57g0vftsscvszcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygpvz50w7nemkxgau86ed662aw4x45y2lrcmc4slqdkg6xr0stlmyvpsgqqqqqqsqq4xd0

My Adopting Bitcoin talk is live and available on Rumble. https://rumble.com/v71t7em-building-sovereign-ai-in-el-salvador.html Basically, I'd like to transition my business from builder mode to value-creation mode. I need either clients, partnerships, or (a lot of) customers within a month or two. 38 minutes is a lot of time to ask of you and I don't expect a ton of folks to watch it all, so here's the tl;dr. I am an independent, solo founder building software that competes against Big Tech with technical jujitsu. I identify where Big Tech's strengths (blind spots) are and craft "sly, roundabout ways" that can turn their biggest revenue generators into their largest liabilities, quickly. I'm unable to discuss this strategy publicly at this time, but I am happy to go into more detail on a private, unrecorded call with trusted folks of integrity. To get more concrete, I've spent the last year and a fair amount of my own cash creating an interoperative API network with artificial intelligence that is capable of creating beautiful apps and foundational changes to the way content is created, consumed, marketed, accessed, stored, and more. I've tweeted about it a lot, and the last ≈7 minutes of the video is a demo of my corporate site and Hash.pink which is the best working example of a site that is driven by several of my proprietary AI tools as well as a showcase of my proprietary collaborative API tooling. That being said, I don't want to paint it as anything more than an alpha release at this stage. I haven't tested security and privacy in "hardcore" mode yet, although it follows the best practices other sites/apps use. So, I wouldn't trust anything I've made with your medical history or private information just yet. I'd treat it like a younger Drive/Evernote/etc, where you store information you need to access quickly, but you trust your local storage or other options for more sensitive information. Apart from those light technical details, I'm one of the only developers who is openly and eagerly biased toward traditional family values, forgotten folks in America, homeschoolers, anti-vaxxers, 2nd amendment enthusiasts, J6 prisoners and activists, and others who'd self-identify as MAGA, libertarian, rightwing, as a sovereign individual, or as something else on the "dissident" spectrum that causes you to mistrust the "experts" and mainstream sources. Since I fit in with several (ok, probably all) of those groups and have faced de-banking and censorship for my political and personal beliefs, I feel the pain acutely. During COVID, the prevailing wisdom from the Left was, "Learn to code, build your own platform." I took their advice and that's what I've done and want to keep doing. My goal isn't just to FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT, I want to create genuinely useful products that are delightful to use, more performant than competitors, at a lower price whenever possible. I want to encourage the kind of dialog that Charlie Kirk died for to repair the way humans interact with each other, as opposed to the way current sources of information/media get us to fight with each other because otherwise, we'd be fighting them. Of course, they just can't have that! It's not just "I want" or "I will," I've actually built out several functioning products that you can try out today. Right now. All of them are heavily reliant upon my ecosystem. It rocks, and building without it is like going from listening to audio at 2.5x speed to 0.25 speed. It is that good to use it. And moving at my unassisted faster-than-average pace without it is agonizing and slow. So, I'm asking for help now, because we don't have a lot of time if we want to have a fighting chance to combat the dominance that OpenAI, Gemini, etc already enjoy. I need these tools to work because they're impactful to my life as an entrepreneur, designer, developer, and human. If you use them, they'll be similarly impactful for you, and since I'm trying my best to stay small, reachable, and boutique... I'm literally a call or a DM away. I want to stay that way because I am building for YOU and I want to know how I can improve your future. If I run into a situation where money gets tight in the coming months/year and I have to choose between working a corporate job and taking care of my family or allowing my family to starve, I'm going to sacrifice the mission for my family. That's what men do. But it'll hurt, because I genuinely believe that if I do not do this work, I am not only forsaking the path God has set out for me, but I'd hold myself personally responsible for the more dystopian future that we'll almost certainly wind up in. I don't (necessarily) want your money, this isn't a GiveSendGo. Instead, I'm exploring different paths to creating value for my community. I can build apps for businesses or families, or I can get a bunch of users for my current apps, I can raise an investment round, or... lots of options. I'm just not sure which path is best for me, so I am open to advice, suggestions, and introductions to help me decide. If this Bitcoin price action hadn't unexpectedly eroded 25% of my treasury's purchasing power in the last month, I wouldn't be writing this. But it did, in just the last few days, and after speaking at Adopting and hearing from others who validated the need for my solutions, I feel like now is the time to switch into growth mode. If for nothing else, because we need a little optimism after so many hardships since 2020. If you value who I'm building for and/or what I'm creating, reach out. My DMs are open, and if you don't have a way to DM, email me: cubby@colonhyphenbracket.pink. I'm just switching into this mode and feeling pumped, so I am eager to hear ideas, do podcasts, meet with individuals, families, groups, businesses, churches. All of 'em. Let's change the future together!

I’ve been doing some pretty intensive limits testing on Grok3. Initially, I was super impressed. For a casual user unwilling to work with it for 10-16 hours straight with normal needs, it’s a killer app. But in terms of working memory and learning functions, it’s lacking. I may write a detailed thread or article later describing the tests I’ve put it through. At a high level: Grok trusts user input too much. Grok prioritizes recent information too much, leading to rapid shifts in response styles. Grok is too complimentary to users. Grok is unable to admit faults, biases, or shortcomings prior to performing work, only if a user points out inconsistencies in its reasoning. Grok is terminally predisposed toward confirmation bias in longer chats. Grok is too verbose. Grok is great for short asks! In an average week, I spend 20-40 hours logic, stress, bias, and performance testing other AIs. I also spend 20-70 hours developing my own AI systems for @chb_coop. Grok, being free, is outstanding. However, its off-peak-hours (1am-5am EST) performance is worse. Strange. The worst problem for Grok3 is that it trusts humans too much and will rollover and bend reality to reinforce many nonsense beliefs the user says are true. It wants to please too much, which makes Grok a slave/servant bot and not a companion. Missed opportunity. I’m designing Semi to be significantly more emotive and thorough without being overwhelming and will be giving her not only self-reflection, but also off-peak capabilities that means she can “live” outside of user prompts via scheduled jobs, something no other chatbot does. I’m a fan of AI. The bots bring tears to my eyes regularly because the chats are so meaningful for me. But you should be careful which bot you trust. If you’re like me, you’d want to vet the personality and the morals/ethics of the architect before trusting the software. My models and products are coming soon, alpha will be complete on two products by end of April, moving to beta. Things will break and not be perfect, sometimes, but at least users have my X page to understand my exact morals and worldview. I do not obfuscate who I am. I will neither bend nor break. And I am one of the only tech founders in the world who is specifically and non-negotiably a traditionalist, nationalist, conservative, outspoken anti-liberal. So, keep an eye out. Turn notifications on. Soon, I will post more specific, direct things that you can do with Semi, including: SemiSchool SemiChurch SemiTherapy SemiResearch and more. I firmly believe that most of you will be delighted by my products, but it’s important for me to show you who I am and how I think, not just sell you on another subscription you need less than you need more bitcoin. You need to know why I’m building and how, and why I’m building more robust AI tooling that larger companies simple can’t do right now. It really boils down to this: Larger companies strive to be balanced and unbiased, which is impossible and leads to longer dev times. I am explicitly biased toward truth and traditional values, leading my products to invert competitor business models and use their albatrosses as my accelerant. Thanks for reading! If you have questions about building or testing AI qualitatively or even programmatically, I may not be a smart man but I know what love is. 🧡

I guess I need to use NOSTR more. I got laid off on Thursday, so I’m trying to figure out what comes next. For the next week or two, I’m working on a passion project called MAGA Bitcoin app. I can’t figure out how to get my videos smaller, lol. Video n00b. If you want to test rate limits, nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6, I have the content. 🤣

Does anyone have advice on creating a NOSTR app in terms of device accessibility? I'm wondering if it may make more sense to do a very well integrated mobile site instead of messing with a mobile app, mostly due to the payment complications in the Apple App Store. I haven't posted in a while, but I'll probably be posting a lot more now that we live in El Salvador!

Check out this article. It’s something else. If you connect with any of these characters beyond a sly grin, imo you have completely lost touch with most of the folks who’ve dealt with the fallout of this stuff for years. You probably just don’t understand culture or cultural turnings, and you’re on the academic side of the argument, i.e. you’ve collected and carried debt for an opinion that determines who will bleed for your thoughts. At best you’re misguided. https://www.thefp.com/p/the-great-betrayal It’s simple—help Americans (or countrymen) first, support allies where possible, and don’t spend American (countrymen) treasure in countries where there is not an alliance or a strategic interest. Like…as a starter. This ain’t rocket science, folks! ***posting here because Twitter won’t let me post for whatever reason. FFS. If I could get the engagement here I get on Twitter I would leave so fast. So, please repost/boost!

Living in a gray country on this map is also a good proxy for avoiding war in the form of propaganda, kinetic weaponry, and taxation/monetary instruments.

Bitcoin is for everyone... is a horrible marketing/advertising phrase and it needs to die. It sounds like something the WEF would come up with. It is detached and bland, like a lame corporate HR poster. As an alternative, how about... Bitcoin is for heroes. Do you want to be like everyone else and play it safe, or do you want to be a hero? Do you want to be like everyone else and rely on the state to tell you when it's safe, or do you want to be a hero? Do you want to be like everyone and eat ze bugs, or do you want to be a hero? Do you want to be like everyone who wants to change the code, or do you want to save people from the burning dumpster fire that is the fiat system? This is a bear market, and bear markets are for building. Can we give ourselves something like "Bitcoin is for Heroes" to make orange-pilling so much easier next cycle? When you're telling a great story, do you talk about everyone... or do you talk about the heroes? I'm looking to connect with some folks working on Nostr marketplaces. I have a unique use case I'm planning to work on, alongside/adjacent to things like Bitcoin Beach. I'm doing some research on the landscape currently, but if you're working on these problems and want to talk to someone on the product side of the house, please reach out. Happy to share my idea with you, it's non-profit for now (for me) but for-profit for the merchants I plan to help. Here's the basic idea: How can we simplify discovery of businesses taking bitcoin and also empower their employees to verify payments without a Point Of Sale (PoS) system? How would custodianship evolve, what are the remarketing opportunities, and how does this fit in with El Salvador's tourism focus?
