Nice you can save drafts!
6/25/2026 — Software Should Age Well
One of the ideas behind Continuum is that software shouldn't just work today—it should still be useful years from now.
That means thinking about portability, durability, versioning, and making it possible to recover from mistakes without losing your work.
Features come and go.
A solid foundation lasts.

6/25/2026 — Describing Continuum
I attended a Small Business Expo today and had several conversations about Continuum.
The interesting part wasn't explaining how it works technically—it was finding language that people could immediately relate to.
The description that seemed to resonate best was:
Somewhere between a password manager and a place to manage your identities.
It's not the complete picture, but it's a useful starting point for explaining a much broader vision.

6/25/2026 — Progress Isn't Always Visible
Today wasn't about adding a big new feature.
It was about improving migrations, making the archive queue idempotent, eliminating duplicate work, and making synchronization more reliable.
None of those changes are particularly exciting to look at.
But they make the foundation stronger.
Sometimes the most important work is the work no one notices.

6/25/2026 — Continuum Was Never Meant to Be Another Nostr Client
There are already excellent Nostr clients.
That was never really the problem I wanted to solve.
Continuum is using Nostr as infrastructure, not as a destination.
Publishing notes, articles, profiles, and interacting socially are important, but they're only part of a much larger picture.
I'm interested in giving people ownership over their identities and data, regardless of which application they happen to be using.

6/25/2026 — Identity Before Applications
The more I work on Continuum, the less I think about applications.
Applications come and go.
Identity persists.
If I change browsers, operating systems, Nostr clients, or even protocols, I don't want to rebuild who I am each time.
Software should adapt to my identity.
Not the other way around.
