Propaganda + censorship -> absurd beliefs "Those who can make you believe atrocities can make you commit atrocities" In a free market of ideas many of the irrational or disproved-by-the-facts beliefs would be pointed out to be as such and lose widespread belief if they even got widespread in the first place. Censorship is how you get sustainable lunacy. You don't necessarily need propaganda to get lunacy but it can help. Together these two tools are very dangerous.
