Over the holidays, I wrote a paper operationalizing the case for implementing American Sign Language as broadcast infrastructure in the United States. The paper acknowledges Deaf ownership of American Sign Language and is grounded in global standards that already exist through the World Federation of the Deaf and the International Telecommunication Union.

As much as I cherish the transition into the new year, I’m always at odds with the pace of Q1.
It’s full speed into award season, and there’s so much emphasis on rinse/repeat ceremonies and procedures rather than real innovation as it relates to how onsite and remote guests experience the ceremonies.
