Getting after it.

Admission: I haven’t sent a zap in ages and have no idea how anyone is still able to zap me. I used WoS originally but now the region is unsupported. Then I used CashApp but when I formalized my business with CashApp, it now only allows me to Sell or Withdraw BTC. Sooooo, that’s as far as I’ve tested it and it’s been a good 5 months since I’ve zapped 👀

Vibe coding sure is the buzz word of the moment. Time spent learning is time well spent. People use so many terms to disassociate from accepting things that just are.

@Vitor Pamplona see you and thanks for the encouragement. We shall see. Definitely feels wild to have it on my site though now. That summer 2024 article re: nostr, it took 1:1 convos for me to explain to some people the article missed the mark. It’s nostrs utility as a protocol that matters

Big commitment step for me: I integrated nostr into my business site as a protocol-aware layer. Starting to introduce people to how shifting from platforms to protocols can support mental wellbeing and autonomy - with an AI Personal Utility Client npub that holds presence, not engagement. @npub18prh...8dy5 Relay inconsistency is making the visibility a tad unpredictable but the intent holds. @jb55 damus is my favorite client to see notes from people I follow/who they engage with, always has been, but for some reason it doesn’t capture them all. Not a criticism so much as it’s why I end up opening a different client; to make sure I’m seeing what they note. Like this is NVK via my Damus view on the left and NVK via my nostur view on the right. A photo is missing on the left. Checked and he’s connected to the Damus relay so not sure what’s what. Just relaying

I have to remember that people seek engagement or they are simply so unevolved that they speak about serious topics in generalities. #LetItGoAng View quoted note →

@jack Any significance in March 19 to you? Lots of notes today.

There’s one person whose notes get renoted in my timeline sometimes, and I negative visceral reaction every single time. 🙃Someone may feel that way about me though soooo such is life!

Really want to incorporate nostr in an upcoming community activation I’m hosting on mental health action That nostr can be a tool for mental wellness, community, and free expression. How open, decentralized platforms reduce the psychological stress of algorithmic suppression, isolation, and lack of autonomy in online spaces. Alas. People will be like “Angela, what?”

Still can’t believe I lost all my contacts today and my Google workspace not too long ago. Odd 🤔 Giving myself a full 12 hour break from work starting now. 🧘🏽‍♀️Any good shows on as of late?

Black American workers make up a large part of the USPS workforce—like 30%. Their representation in the overall US workforce is under 15%. The postal service has been significant in the Black community for years; providing a path to the middle class after desegregation. If only high net worth Americans valued black people as independent, whole people, as much as they value us for entertainment. View quoted note →

The Tale of the Hummingbird: According to Native American legend, one day there was a big fire in the forest. All the animals fled in terror in all directions, because it was a very violent fire. Suddenly, the jaguar saw a hummingbird pass over his head, but in the opposite direction. The hummingbird flew towards the fire. Whatever happened, he wouldn't stop. Moments later, the jaguar saw him pass again, this time away from the fire. “What are you doing, hummingbird?" he asked. “I am going to the lake," the hummingbird answered, "I drink water with my beak and throw it on the fire to extinguish it." The jaguar laughed. “Are you crazy? Do you really think that you can put out that big fire on your own with your very small beak?” “No,” said the hummingbird, “I know I can't. But the forest is my home. It feeds me, it shelters me and my family. I am very grateful for that. I am part of her and the forest is part of me.” At that moment, the forest spirits, who listened to the hummingbird, were moved by the hummingbird and its devotion to the forest. They sent a torrential downpour, which put an end to the great fire. As elders tell the story, it often ends with: "Do you want to attract miracles into your life? Then do your part.” Illustration: Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas image

Thinking back to a note @DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 wrote ages ago that was essentially like you can be mad that business is business but that’s what it is. Global adoption like: image
