Great pod @Guy Swann on wasted energy. However, I am getting uncomfortable with the idea that Bitcoin miners in certain jurisdictions are enabling governments to continue subsidising expensive and unreliable energy sources. Miners are amazing at load balancing but should they continue to support poor state policy? Consumers ultimately have to pay for the subsidies. For society to flourish we need cheap, abundant and reliable energy.
