Because conventional political systems are very sclerotic. They tend to stagnate and be very difficult to change. You get this to-ing and fro-ing between parties. One party blocks the other party. It's often very difficult to make big changes. But if you have a zone where those processes are bypassed and contained, you can often do bolder things because you know that you don't have the risk of rolling out across an entire country and having it fail. And I'm really sick of that, that we cannot dance. I just see life as a dance. And we are not. So we are not supposed to dance, but nature tells us to dance every day. So #nature is a dance. It's always dancing. Flowers are dancing. Everything is a #dance. For me, it's fear and #fear based mindset. It's like, if you don't have a degree, what are you going to do? And turns out, like, I studied for ten years. I'm a linguist, I speak six languages. I'm a teacher as well. I never worked in my job. I couldn't stand it for a minute." "When we look back over history, we've been only in the last 100, 150 years have we been in kind of a more modern day society where we're spending a lot more time in urban environments. Whereas 150 years ago, 80, 90% of the population lived in rural areas. And going back even further, we lived in these small little communities, these hunter gather tribes. And what's interesting is when you actually look at the time commitment to work versus leisure and play, hunter gather tribes, on average, from what I understand, spent about 13 hours a week trying to survive. The rest of the time they spent with community, they spent looking inwards. And the challenge is that when our #money is broken, when it's pressuring us to work more, all of a sudden we have less capacity to look inwards.
