I think I'm the opposite of a nihilist. I believe everything has objective meaning. Yes even suffering, randomness, the stuff we can't explain. Not meaning we invented, but meaning that's actually there, whether we see it or not. We may not understand anything fully. I believe God gave us a purpose. That's not a comfort I talk myself into. It's something I keep coming back to as true. That's enough to keep going.

The codebase has a Google Cloud Storage backend? Synonym's production configuration (which backend they're actually running) is not public from what I can tell. The entire storage configuration in google_bucket_config.rs (the file that controls where your data lives) is this: rustlet builder = opendal::services::Gcs::default() .bucket(&self.bucket_name) .credential(&credential); Bucket name. Credential. That's it. So user data goes to a Google Cloud Storage bucket that Synonym owns and controls?
