Just had two friends lose their little ones during pregnancy in the past 24 hours. ๐Ÿ˜” Heavenly Father, all things work to your glory. You are sovereign over all of creation. Forgive me of my doubts, my moments of frustration, my fears, my failures. There is so much we don't understand and can't comprehend, but help us in the dark parts of life to remain faithful. Simply existing, here and now, is a gift. You've blessed me with a quick and successful pregnancy, and by your will, we will bring our little boy into this world and love him by your example. Please give my friends strength and swift love in this time of emmense suffering. Catch our tears, hear the groaning of our souls, and keep us in your care. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Angels and Saints in heaven, pray for us.

Been working on this a while, but now have a working MVP. Introducing :Nori:nostr-station image A full Nostr-native dev environment in one node. macOS / Linux. One curl command. Local dev relay + AI chat + ngit clone / publish / sync / merge โ€” signed by Amber on your phone. Use Nostr VPN mesh to reach your station from anywhere. Your keys never touch the machine. Sign events with Amber or browser extension. Your code never leaves unless you push. Try it on any spare machine, VM, whatever. Development is still heavily on-going.

Onyx is so rad. It totally opened a door in my imagination to how this protocol can really change how we operate freely as humans. Local notes, encrypted sync over nostr, paired with @Maple for full private and secure AI use. It's a game changer. Bout to stop paying for Obsidian Sync entirely. Thanks for all you do @Derek Ross View quoted note โ†’

One of the things I love about the Catholic Church is how it regards other Christians as brothers and sisters genuinely seeking the truth, doing their best with what they've received. There's a posture of charity baked in and an assumption of good faith. It rarely comes back the other way. More often than I can count, well intentioned Christians from other traditions have called me to repent of my Catholicism. While anecdotal, the slew of Protestant churches I grew up in turned me agnostic. I left the doom and gloom. My agnosticism eventually led me to assent of intellect and will. I converted because I grew to see and believe the Catholic Church holds the deposit of faith, a fullness of faith, and a faith that makes more reasonable sense out of the mysteries. I found hope. I can also admit that I see some similar behavior from Catholics online from time to time. This 'false gospel' accusation (from both sides) rarely bears fruit. Love does. I don't say this to score a point. The asymmetry is just worth noticing. Charity that flows in one direction is still charity, but a conversation takes two. I'll never call for a Christian to repent for what they believe. But I will always celebrate when anyone comes home to the Catholic Church.

Justin Martyr describing what Christians did on Sunday in 155 AD, and continue to do in the present day. โœ๏ธ --- First Apology, Chapter 67; Weekly worship of the Christians "And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration."
