We need #nostr on mars

Cheap and old hardware is really cool - and can often go a really long way. My primary camera is 20 years old this year. I have two macbook pros still running for over a decade. I prefer playing a lot of games on a CRT TV. I use a optiplex 980 for a homelab and playing with some bitcoins. I still play gameboy and SNES. Canon 5D (2005) Canon 5D Mark II (2008) Macbook Pro (2011 & 2014) Optiplex 980 (2010) Gameboy Color (1998) SNES (1990) My point is there is plenty to enjoy. Even on a budget. We live in unprecedented times. But it takes intention, or necessity to not be wasteful. Use, Reuse, repurpose, and repair! I too need to be reminded that I have more than I could ever ask for.

More #ShopifyDevelopment tonight. I have a simple shop coming together for a client of mine. I've been in and out of the depths of the built in Shopify Apps; forms, emails, workflows. Email templates are designed. Contact page built. Subscriber segments are in process of being ironed out. The blog template is filling up more with drafted launch content (client is actively planning his first campaigns). Still a bit stuck on my animated CSS background, but hopefully I crack that later this week. So far I'm a fan of the way #Shopify handles dynamic data in liquid, but some quirks to the Dawn Theme we are on. Getting close! Cheers everyone!

I'm not a fancy designer. But I'm a logical shopper and an organized individual. For me, #UXdesign is actually helping all sides of the transaction - the consumers (typically the user in context), but also the sellers. It's a dance of project management, context gathering, industry and competitive standards, having a marketing voice and also the ability to inspire through design. As an example, imagine improving the day-to-day operation of a customer service team, or a backend technical process. It's clear that this has potential to also uplift the customer's experience. User Experience is a broad term. I find myself being an expert at nothing by my own judgement - but to others I'm a professional guide through complicated efforts that many find difficult to understand. This ambiguity, in a way, is what I love about my role; abstracting reality from ideas and possibilities.

Cold morning here as this winter wave comes through. Working from the home office today and almost caught up on my backlog. Some more photo editing tonight. The #jiujitsu version of 'stay humble and stack sats' is 'tap early and tap often'. It's about not letting your ego ruin your effort and progress. Tonight at open mat I tapped a lot. I wasn't on my best game. But that's okay - I showed up and got my training time. That's a win. But I also let my off night catch me off guard. I was humbled with a loud pop of my ankle from a friend's toe holding they had on me. I didn't realize the position I was in and my own struggle to escape it ended up contributing to a near injury. Luckily, all is good. No immediate sign of injury after a brief rest. 🤙 I'll say it again. Tap early. Tap often. Stay humble. Train smart. #martialarts #jiujitsu #training #philosophy
